Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Old steel frame house - problems?

I'm looking at purchasing a house in Belfast. It's in need of a bit of modernisation but priced reasonably and it's a half decent area.

On phoning the Estate Agent, I was 'made-aware' that the building is steel framed. I'll still go have a look, but obviously there are some concerns if it was highlighted to me straight away. The price on the house is low-ish but not dirt cheap.

From a search of historical records etc, the house seems to have been built in the 50s-60s, with a small sunroom type extension added sometime since.

Is anyone aware of the problems that such a construction might have? Any experiences in obtaining a mortgage etc? Obviously, I'll be having a survey carried out prior to any purchase, but it's be good to hear any thoughts.
