    I presume so:)

I'd bet they are post grant :)

    Would be typical VW

So the 1st edition "Standard" is missing many useful things like keyless entry and heatpump which are pretty much standard fitment on other BEVs. Sounds a bit scabby and points out to "VW can charge for extras". Wonder if it also has halogen headlamps and incandecent rear bulbs?

Light pack comes in the plus trim

What's that bring the max to 41,200 before a haggle with the dealership?

    Looks like

Can't believe you have to pay €50,000 to get a heatpump

    Including €775 delivery?

On the back of a diesel truck no doubt.

To get decent spec might as well get a model 3, 5 seconds 0-60. starting at what, 48K after grant ?

Those VW prices are starting to look ridiculous and I bet none of those include larger battery ?

Basic will probably be halogen lights too.

There's loads for sale in the UK. Is there really no VRT on them as an import? That's what the VRT calculator tells me.

There's a small amount of vrt on the Rex, not sure how much.

My PCP is up next November so I won't get to change until then.

So its basically an eGolf for now

I guess you mean the ID is basically and eGolf?

    Probably is

The only issue with the eGolf was they didnt mass produce it. Apart from that it is one of the best electric cars in the market.

I assume these are German specs and prices so may not be relevant to Irish market?

The entry specifications will be the same for all country's I think.

The entry level €30k (list price (?) in Germany after their €4k incentive) should really be about the same in Ireland. A car that value attracts no VRT here and our higher rate of VAT is more than compensated by the extra €1k incentive that we have.

But as we have seen with the Tesla Model 3, a few grand was added onto the Irish price as we don't protest very much when we are ripped off.

No point even talking about that 30k car Unkel

Its not out for 18 months at the earliest and they'll make it so bare, an Ioniq 38kWh will look attractive

The 3 trims will be the same but some regions wont get all trim levels.

The only option in trim levels will be the colour of the dash & steering wheel.

We really are a forum of hope-filled lunatics - every single EV price conversation goes on for months, uses all sorts of nonsensical mathematical formulae - and ends up being hopelessly wrong.
Rest assured this will be the same - I suggest wait for the German price and then add the same % increase as usual for a VW sold at home in Germany versus here, which is 20-25% more.

Which version is been released to the people who paid the deposit?
Think itvwas one version only with a few extras as a 1st edition?

  • Registered Users Posts: 831 ✭✭✭CFC007

Looks like the 3 spec levels of the 1st editions are going to be available to order here. That’s based off deposit holders who got calls today from VW dealers. Looking at about 50k for the Max version before grants.

Just seen VW are supplying chargers as well with the ID3, available end of November. I’ll see can I add the link.

I see, thought it was just the one choice we were getting.
    Many people get phone calls?
I have my deposit down since the day the option was available but haven't really been keeping up with the news since.

I wonder will there be a black model released. Not 2 tone etc. would make the hump less noticeable.

Brochure given to German VW dealers:
    https://www.goingelectric.de/forum/download/file.php?id=75550

Not clear if the cheapest 1st Edition includes rear parking sensors, but I assume not. Too little car for that money.

Great! That’s the best information on the ID. 3 so far!!

The Alloys on line 1 look better than the ones on line 3, I wonder are they correct in the picture. Line 1 ones look more R line.
Nice to see that moonstone grey available, if I do take the plunge that'll probably be the color I go for. They had it exclusive on the R like Passat this year.
