Well, ****. But almost inevitable at some stage.

    Balls.
Think that is 8 games cancelled in the last month across the Pro14 & HC.

Leinster to lose their 100% record if they have COVID case now. They will forfeit the game.
Munster first win over Leinster by default..

MK says the game will be rescheduled. I imagine it's only the Heineken Cup that's giving defaulted score lines - Treviso have had a few games postponed in the P14 this year.

Can we not mention this to non-rugby watching family members?

Maybe stick on the 2009 semi final and pretend its live? If we get ahead of this and plan early we can probably pull it off. If any Munster fans are willing to co-operate we can compromise on a different match

Is there a suggestion that Leinster are the ones pulling the plug?

"Yeah that's Munster in the black and Leinster in the green.... I know, weird isn't it... they're trying to spread the game globally... Yeah Chicago, Soldier Field..."

There's no confirmed cases yet at least. Fingers crossed.

Wonder if its from the Northampton game last weekend.
Cases in UK are much more prevalent than here so odds of one of their players being positive and playing game is high.

This is the the team we would've sent to Munster. Shame for Max Reilly.

    So why was it cancelled?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Yeah I’m confused now. There were positive tests, they’ve now all come back negative on a second test?

Delay with the lab seems to be all

Play the game, even Sunday if needs be!

I’d guess they just called it early so people don’t have to work tomorrow to sort it. It’ll be grand to reorganise it

It was cancelled because there were tests results outstanding....

    This is from leinster

"Following this morning’s confirmation that the Round 9 Guinness PRO14 fixture between Munster Rugby and Leinster Rugby has been postponed, Leinster Rugby can confirm that all outstanding Covid-19 PCR Testing results have now been returned and all players and staff have tested negative.

Leinster Rugby would like to thank the PRO14 Rugby Medical Advisory Group and Munster Rugby for their help and understanding and we look forward to the rescheduled game early in the new year."

The fact that we had 2 tbc on the bench is a bit concerning.

Presumably they were waiting on Harry's fitness and otherwise had Hawkshaw.

Presumably Silvester was going to be 23

    Any backrowers fancy heading north?

From a neutral point of view it would make sense to me for one of deegan or Conan to head up north with Coetzee off.

It would make more sense for Deegan to go.
