That goal is crucial. Dublin probably should have been further ahead by now. Can they respond now though?

Davy Fitz doing some recon in the crowd..........

Soft frees (for both sides) are ridiculous

    it's barely hurling at all
no wonder the crowd finding it hard to get into

Crummy hit a great point there. Dubs one ahead 53 mins gone!

This sky commentator is really impartial.

The age old, ref books both players routine!!

    embarrassing stuff from Crummy

wouldn't look out of place on a soccer field - Neymaresque

Has this ref ever heard of advantage at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Ref had a few quid on Kilkenny at half time.

Wasn’t even a penalty. Bizarre by all accounts

Ref only reffing one side now. Fennelly flattens a man and gets a penalty.

Absolute disgrace the referee. No rhyme or reason for so many his decisions.

Same oul same oul with Dublin hurlers.

    another ridiculous penalty

    ref is atrocious

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

Dublin terrified to tackle and KK just horsing into it.

Kilkenny getting typically filthy now. The mask always comes off.

Load of rubbish. Crummy went digging WW off the ball and then went to ground like he'd been shot when he couldn't match him toe to toe. Embarrassing stuff from crummy.

Dublin player swiped one handed across him which is why it was given I think although don't think he connected at all

Nothing wrong with what Fennelly did. Wasn't a free in or out.

What? It only should've been given as a goal without a penalty being required at all. Keeper came to meet him and got run over, no foul in that.

Leahy has made a difference since he came on

Same oul same oul with Dublin hurlers.

Its hard to watch tbh. Ref is having his influence but you can't ignore the shortcomings of Dublin. They're so easily swept aside in the mental stakes. Every player reacting now instead of taking the initiative. KK expect to win and Dublin hope they'll win. A bit like the reverse with the Dublin footballers and Mayo.

    This ref

Theres a high chance three teams could end up level on points and come down to PD so its better for us now that KK just win by as much as possible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Seriously hard team to beat, no one like them in the game. They looked so much fitter then Dublin.

Dublin lacking composure when it matters. Again. Lots to learn Matty.

Can't see either of these troubling Galway unless they improve significantly. Wexford would beat both based on this evening too.

Dublin didn't score for over 10 mins. That kind of thing always kill you in the championship. Need to keep the scoreboard ticking over

Same old same old. The cats upped their game in the second half and the dubs and no response. They're short passing game disappeared and the lost countless high balls landed onto the kilkenny half back line. Frustrating. Their two penalties in the first half were very soft. Should have been free out's for steps imo. Will be a kilkenny Galway final again this year me thinks.

It's easier for Dublin to lose than it is for them to win, all too predictable year in year out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

Dublin will only beat Carlow in Leinster, they lack compusre and class to win a big championship match

TBF going to Nolan Park is a tough ask for any team. Dublin need to keep the heads up. They can beat Wexford at home for sure.

On that performance it's hard to see how. They have no firepower. That kk defence is very porous and Dublin didn't capitalise. I wondered in the first post if Dublin could overcome their inferiority complex and the answer is an overwhelming no.

The delayed fall by Crummey is a thing of beauty- like he had been shot by a sniper.
    Ludicrous antics

The commentators should do a better job of calling **** like that. The Sky lads were taking the soccer approach and talking about 'contact'. Its tacitly excusing Crummey and almost justifying his actions. Its disgusting.

Call a spade a spade and leave no one in doubt thats no way for grown men to behave.

Contact or not Walter was very foolish to make the head gesture he did....
