Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    So, planning ahead.

We have, pretty much, a standard "Spruce" from the below
    snip

Soon-ish my wife and I will have parents needing to come but not enough rooms in the house, as it stands.

We don't have capacity for a granny flat, so thinking that upwards is an option.

Has anyone experience with going up, in this property layout?
Not talking about planning/costs, more the practical issues (raising roof, how much floor space downstairs lost, how much usable room gained upstairs)

I'll be going to see an architect closer to time but curious if anyone has any personal experience

Mod note: as per forum charter the link to a business has been removed.

House referred to a standard ‘A’ shaped bungalow, but with pitch too low for accommodation upstairs.
