What is the best method to make a complaint to DB re close pass, phone, email, letter? Normally I let these things go but this one really took the p**s.

Didn't someone on here get the onboard footage of a close pass recently, how would I go about that?

I don't have a camera so not sure if that would hamper things?

    Customer complaint form https://www.dublinbus.ie/Contact-Us1/Customer-Comment-Form/

    Subject access request (CCTV) https://www.dublinbus.ie/Privacy/Making-a-Subject-Access-Request/

I did both recently but they never responded to the complaint. Have yet to review the CCTV to see if I will report to trafficwatch.

Their complaints webform is a waste of time. DB dont do squat about them.

The cameras can be quite damning. Get the footage, go to the Gards. When the gard says "Oh the poor man might lose his job" please dont let him off with a caution. They always do that and a few bad apples in DB need to go to get the message through.

So would an email be more successful? Can I just request the cctv footage of the close pass from the bus or do I have to quote some official line requesting it...sorry I see in Ferris reply a link to make request.

I never got a response from the close pass incident I mentioned but I got a very prompt reply when a DB driver suddenly let a passenger off in front of me in-between stops on a cycle lane. They don't give details however, citing data protection, but the urgency of the response said it all really.
