    Hi all

Not sure if this is the right place feel free to move I'm sure the people here can help me. Recently bought some items from North USA. One comes with a Us polarized pin plug. I'm looking to use this here now but any adaptor I have tried with wont work. Do I need a special adaptor for the poslarized plug also need to find a shop in Dublin which will sell these.....

    Thanks for ur help

    What is the item?

The US uses 110V power, while Ireland uses 240V. If it's an item that doesn't accept multiple voltages, you may have destroyed it by using it on a higher voltage, hence why it's "not working" with the adapter.

You need a Polarised NEMA-1 to UK Adapter where one off the pins is slightly larger.

Pretty sure you can get on Amazon.co.uk.
