Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Definite dive by Lacazatte, he was anticipating the contact and it came in fairness. Not enough to bring him down, but they're usually given.

    You think Lacazette dived?

Shows how little you watched it when it was Auba that was involved

Peno for me if he was onside, keeper took his legs and got none of the ball.
Also made contact with his head

If you can hear players talking in the European cup final, you need to visit your GP tomorrow.

The microphones are closer to the pitch whilst the fans are in another postcode and sounds not being picked up fully.

    Awful stadium for football.

BT picture is fine , its just that camera angle they are using is annoying :(

Yep peno, if the flag hadn’t gone up. Though we didn’t see that it HAD just what the commentator said.

Atmosphere like a man City game, the fans behind the goal should have stayed at home suprised if they can see anything.

Kante hasn't got 90 mins in him tonight.

Im presuming all the marks on the pitch are from the stages used during the pre match entertainment. Either that or im seeing things.

Who's idea was this to have it in Azerbaijan...

Crowd is dead, and half empty by the looks of it.

You do realise that eveybody is seeing the same images around the world. It's not BT's own cameras broacasting this.

    Angle is terrible though.

Five and a half hours flying time from London. Purely a political move on behalf of UEFA. Probably 60000 plus Londoners having to pay for what is in essence a fûcking long haul flight. A political move to have it there...no regard or thought for your average football fan at all.

Been a decent first half, played at a decent tempo.

There was more atmosphere at the Aviva for the friendly at the start of the season.

It's in HD on Sky 105. I can nearly see myself in the shine off Emery forehead.

There should never be a football match in an athletics stadium.Look at the distance from the pitch to the stands, horrible for spectators and tv coverage.

Commentators saying if it goes to penos it go on till 2.30am local time.

I would love to see the actual attendance figure. That half time shot made the place look half empty.

Jesus its like a pre season game but less spectators

Replay confirmed.. peno and a red.

The only defence I would have for UEFA, is they could hardly predict two London teams getting to the final at the time the decision to name it as the venue was made.

UEFA are a lot of things. But soothsayers they ain't

I can understand the fans being cold but the teams look uninterested like it's one of those Chinese just show up and wave to the fans friendlies you see European teams do in January.

Any chance they can play the second half in Wembley :D

Surely nights like tonight should make UEFA set the final stadium around the time of the semi finals, embarrassing all round, crowd wise

Edit:SFs Eng,Spa,Ger,easy to fix it for anywhere in Bel,Ita,Hol or Fra at 4/5 weeks nituce

Contact with his hands and then after with his head. Two sets of contact, and no peno given. It was definitely a penalty if it was Hazard the far end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,694 ✭✭✭✭osarusan

Kind of cautious stuff so far, especially by Chelsea. Arsenal looking a bit sharper. Fairly even though. No really good chances, just a few shots.

Didn't think the Lacazette thing was a penalty.

Atmosphere awful but that might be partly down to position of microphones. Camera angle unusually high also.

To be fair though they could have assumed it would have been two teams in europe

It's usually got a team or two from Spain, hqrdly suits them any more than the English sides

UEFA are a lot of things. But soothsayers they ain't

They knew it was highly likely the final would have English, Spanish, German,Italian or Portuguese teams.

Also, they knew about the problems with flights there.

They should not pick a venue/country where a competing player could not play.

This was all verifiable at the start of the season.

Finally, the stadium is an awful stadium for football and it has cheapened the event.

You can probably narrow it down to England, Germany, Italy, France or Spain.

    Fcuking Baku, absolutely ridiculous.

    It's after midnight in Baku.

Hopefully Robbie Savage doses off in the second half
