Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Delighted for Sarri ...crazy to think his 1st trophy

He's managed a lot of clubs, but when you look through them, Napoli is the only one he'd really have had a chance of winning anything at, before tonight.

    Good stuff.

You’d have to ask questions of Emery considering they were in pole position for 4th and he chose to focus on this.

Was Zenit vs Rangers in the current format?

The last final in the old format was 2003-04 with Valencia V Marselle. IE knock out rounds

Zenit V Rangers was in 2007-08 when it was group stage

2008-09 was the last final when it was called UEFA Cup

I wouldn't rule out 3 Eastern finals on the trot

Gdansk is handy enough. Loads of direct flights from major airports. Tbilisi less so, but they are starting some this summer from some major airports.

Hazard : “ it’s been a privilege to have played for the biggest club in the world the last 7 years”.

He must be taking a step down so going to Madrid as he virtually just confirmed on camera...I mean wtf ! Haha

Cech can head over to the Chelsea party at midnight.

PP have refunded goalscorer bets on Ozil as he didn’t play.

Considering it's nearly 2am there he technically went over at half time.

Makes sense why he didn't bother making much of an effort in the second half

U obviously didn't watch the game,no hope with any of the 4 goals and made 4 decent saves

He was beaten at the near post for the first goal. Took an age to get down.

Didn't cover himself in glory at any part of the game after that

The sight of Ozil walking back towards his own goal as Chelsea attacked for the second goal (i think) was something else. He really is some joker.

Fairly sure they weren't counting lower leagues that he spent a lot of time managing?

He worked as a banker until his 40's and worked his way up from much lower leagues. Napoli and Chelsea are the only big clubs he has managed really.

I know your pi**ed at the result but Cech was the only Arsenal player worth talking about, the only one that could have held his head high when the other 9 eejits and Ozil were stinking the place up in front of him.

He made 2 big stops in the first half, and every goal after Girouds first, which you cant blame him for, it was the CBs fault for not picking up the most clear and only run Giroud could have made.

No hope with the 2nd again, abysmal marking nobody picks up Pedro ghosting through at the edge of the box, for the 3rd, AMN, made a f**k up giving away a penalty that Giroud was always looking for and he justs barges him over and the 4th was again, shocking from Aubayemang getting disposed at the half way line and allowing Kovacic to waltz into the penalty area before a few 1-2's allowed Hazard a tap in at the back post.

He made another good save from Hazard to stop his hat trick and denied Willian after it too.

I'm all for blaming players when they dont perform but Cech was the only one putting in a shift last night in red.

Ozil was Arsenals worst player by a mile but the front two deserve special mention too, they should have had a field day against a poor and slow Chelsea backline but they were truly terrible.

I'm delighted for sarri, there's a great clip doing the rounds of him looking at his medal, lovely moment.

Ya delighted for Sarri, seems a good guy. 3rd, FA Cup Final and EL trophy is a more than fine season. Dealt with the pressure very well while having to curtail his smoking.

Fine season at every club with the exception of Chelsea.

  • Just watched the goals again. Hazard some player.
Looked very easy for him all the same.

Sensible move stepping it up to head to Madrid. He has done all he can do as the fulcrum of the Chelsea team, he has done well there but to stay would risk stagnation. A player that great deserves the greatest around him. He will get that at Madrid and good luck to him. The league will miss him though.
