Just trying to see if there's anything I can do to reduce this.

I switched from Airtricity to Energia, had to give meter readings.
Turns out that I've forgotten to give Airtricity so many readings they have been guesstimating my gas usage, and now I'm left with a €700 bill where before they were charging €80-95.

I've already called their Credit Services team to at least split that up into 6 payments, but wondering if there's anything else I can do to lessen this?

    Payment is by direct debit.

Basically no, the gas has been used and your bills will have told you to submit readings.

Exactly the same thing here, unfortunately it's a case of just paying it. You can submit readings yourself over the phone etc.
