Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all,

I am looking to get some building work done on my house and was wondering what I should be looking out for when choosing one. I know all the normal stuff like referrals, view previous works, certified etc.. but is there anything I might be missing?

I spoke to 3 local private builders already and getting a great sense from one of them. I have got referrals, seen previous works and got a good feeling from them.

But again, before I sign the contract I would like to feel fully secure.

I am getting the house extended at the back, with apex roof and a large kitchen. (If that helps)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you a professional involved....Arch/AT/Eng? If you do, you could ask them to check out professional references for the builder(s).
