Any views in terms of running costs and reliability?

Is the CRV on the road long enough for meaningful running costs/reliability data?

Depends on your commute. If you can do it comfortably in EV range then the Outlander will be considerably cheaper to run. The further you have to run the Outlander on ICE the more expensive it will be. On EV mode, charged on night rate it costs the equivalent of a petrol engine returning ~150mpg. With an empty battery it will do about 35mpg.
