    Hi All,

I was hoping you might be able to help with tracing an ancestor who died in WW1. All I have so far is his date of birth, his parents' names, his place of birth etc.

Relatives of mine are pretty certain he enlisted, fought and died in WW1, but I have no idea whether it was with Royal Munster, Dublin fusiliers, etc. I checked the CWGC, but no joy. A lot of these details require subscription to ancestry.co.uk or findmypast etc, but I thought i'd ask on here first.

    here is what i know:

    Name: Nicholas Ferguson
    D.O.B: 29 Feb 1884
Place of birth: Tralee, Co Kerry

Any advice would be great, thanks.
