Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

best of luck with interview & let me no how it goes for you

    Hi Tiny14,

I think it went ok! I certainly came out rather elated and confident that i answered every question. That said, in retrospect i could have given a better example to one question, and also there was additional information i had learned back to front on a particular question that, had i discussed, certainly would have been a bonus. But hindsight is another form of regret, and while i can learn from it i still have to move on!

The interview board members were very nice and put me at ease. So, only time will tell, i hope for the best:)

Sounds like you did well JuneMoon! Fingers crossed now :)

Are competencies questions based on your application form or will you be expected to provide different examples?

I havent heard anything, but there is another thread about these interviews and apparently those who have asked were told it will be at least mid-late September.
Thanks, yes it was one of the few interviews i felt ok about, i prepared so much for it but you know yourself, once the nerves set in it can be hard to remember everything you want to say! there was one instance where i may have rambled a bit! but then i reigned it in. One moth ago already! i was obsessing about it for a few days after, but for the most part now im just getting on with things and not thinking about it too much apart from checking my emails twice a day for word back

Hi I had an interview last week for mid Leinster. How long do you have to wait before you know if you made it to the panel or not?

    Hi Tiny 14,

I was asked to discuss the following:

What you know about Tusla (discuss services they provide, when it was founded)
Legislation thats important for the role (discuss data protection laws in thw workplace, Children First legislation)
What your competencies are (computer skills, customer service skills, people skills, organisational skills)
Discuss a time at work when you had to deal with a challenging or difficult situation. How did you handle it?
Keep in mind the STAR system when answering: the situation you were in, the task you were performing, the action taken and the result you achieved. The example can be from anything. Previous job, college project
    Good luck!

    Hi
I've just been for a interview in Dublin last week for the West.
So they're still in the interview stage. If this helps anyone.
I should have asked at the end of interview what happens next.
Is it a second Interview if you passed the 1st one?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 372 ✭✭youandme13

    No just one interview.

I had my interview in July and got an email during the week to say I made the panel but won't be advised what number until a later stage. Interviewed for for Dublin South.

Nope so it is a bit strange

So strange, lots of people still haven't received any results. Like could they not have a sent a message to everyone saying 'We are issuing results over the next x days/weeks, if you have not heard by xx/xx/xx please contact us' etc

  • Registered Users Posts: 207 ✭✭venusdoom

Also got my email yesterday confirming a place on the panel. No panel number as yet though. Interview was in Donegal in September

  • Registered Users Posts: 4 Oklemons

Hey do you mind me asking where in Donegal did the interviews take place? I'm from Donegal and had to go to Dublin last month for interview. Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 207 ✭✭venusdoom

It was in Letterkenny. That's strange. You didn't put down the Dublin area as well as HSE west?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4 Oklemons

Letterkenny is only 15min from me. No I definitely only put down Donegal. I had to go to Tusla head quarters. Had to leave at 5am. Fingers crossed for you.

I received my results this morning and I'm disappointed with my scores. The panel that I had consisted of 2 males and 1 female who took turns on each of the competencies which would be the norm, however 1 member of the panel could not hold eye contact when they asked me their questions and looked around the room while I answered I found this incredibly unprofessional and very off putting.
Given the large number of people interviewed I'd imagine there will be a very low ratio of candidates to jobs I doubt it is worth raising the issue at this point.
    Did anyone have similar experience?

  • Registered Users Posts: 560 ✭✭✭xDisneyDivax

I emailed them asking about my results as people had their interviews few months after mine and they got their results first. I got on the panel with score of 325. I had my interview in Letterkenny too.

Ollie, would that be a man by any chance sounds very like one of men I had for mine

Yes the younger man of the panel, he was like a deer caught in the headlights and seemed very uncomfortable, he clearly had no experience of being on an interview panel

I sent a reply to one of emails they sent on my Tulsa recruitment account/app. I'd say try that and see. You night not get a reply until Monday now as I emailed them yesterday & they replied this morning

I made panel but very disappointed with my score to be honest. I thought I'd done a bit better as I'd felt confident leaving but sure there you go.

What points did you get milk and sugar? Seems to be a massive differences in points some people got 200 marked and some 380s from what I’m seeing seems like a massive difference. Do you know what was minimum points ?

Hey guys did any one get a panel number today ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 MMULCAHY2016

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 MMULCAHY2016
