Eating fish in the workplace

I like fish but never incorporated it into my homemade lunches because it has a strong odour and there’s no getting away from that. It’s just good manners to not stink up the office. And the people who complained about food smells in my various workplaces were a mixed bunch, some healthy eaters, some not. Anyone who has a decent cooking repertoire can easily avoid making smelly lunch items.

No, I eat fish, mostly Salmon, Haddock and Cod.

Stinking up the office, fair enough.

But canteens and kitchens are for food. And when there’s food, there’s the smell of food.

Well, the OP is talking about the office, not a canteen. It’s not that uncommon for a workplace to not have a dedicated lunch room. Or for the office space to be open plan, even if there is a lunch area.
