The traditional food of our island ancestors and the most natural in the world.

It's always people that eat absolute crap, suffer from malnutrition or are over weight that moan about the smell of natural, unprocessed healthy food.

The type that are out sick a lot, smoke fags and go to McDonalds whilst holidaying in a fishing port on the Algarve!

There are plenty of healthy, cooked lunches one can make that don’t involve fish. I like fish but never incorporated it into my homemade lunches because it has a strong odour and there’s no getting away from that. It’s just good manners to not stink up the office. And the people who complained about food smells in my various workplaces were a mixed bunch, some healthy eaters, some not. Anyone who has a decent cooking repertoire can easily avoid making smelly lunch items.

Do you not like fish in general? Chowder is a fish stew and it's delicious!

No, I eat fish, mostly Salmon, Haddock and Cod.

In other words, I've no problem with fish.

Fermented Herring is the stuff you want. Nobody can stop you when the smell causes them physical pain.

Stinking up the office, fair enough.

But canteens and kitchens are for food. And when there’s food, there’s the smell of food.

Well, the OP is talking about the office, not a canteen. It’s not that uncommon for a workplace to not have a dedicated lunch room. Or for the office space to be open plan, even if there is a lunch area.

    From Conan O'Brien*

"Shark Tank idea: a microwave that will self-destruct if someone tries to use it to cook fish."

*Conan O'Brien is an Irish American TV host and all round good guy
Shark Tank is the US equivalent of Dragons' Den.
