Have to get out to castleknock village for 5pm tomorrow coming from town. Would prefer to drive but am worried about Bloom traffic. Anyone remember from other years whether traffic gets mental with bloom?

    It got mental this morning.

Google Maps told me to go down the M50 to get into town.

I cycled from docklands, along quays and up through the Phoenix park this evening at 17:30. Traffic was a good deal quieter than a normal Thurs evening and even around the Bloom tent itself there wasn't much happening. The Castleknock exit was fairly heavy but no more so than normal since the village itself is usually a nightmare anyway especially with the added Lidl junction.

Perhaps everyone had already left by 17:30 and it was chaotic earlier or busier on a Fri but was surprised at how quiet the roads were.

Does anyone know from experience what the traffic at Bloom is like at 4 pm on Monday- the last day and closing time?
