    hi.

    i seem to have been charged €12.70 for a missed standing order (possibly the first time ever). 

    could that be right?

    Yes, if there is insufficient available funds in your account on the day the standing order is due, an unpaid fee of €12.70 will be applied to the account.

    This fee is noted within our Charges & Fee Brochure here on page 7.
