Unsure about flood risk for insurance

Hi, thinking about buying a house and I notice a small stream nearby. Ive checked flood maps and there has been no recorded flooding in the estate or anywhere nearby. But without any record of any flooding problem ever, do insurance companies typically ignore it?

Can I ring them up before I own the house and just give and address and ask what the premium would be?

Try a few online companies and put in the Eircode. See if it declines or restricts cover
