Me and my girlfriend are moving to nenagh in a few months into a two bedroom house. The house has on street parking so we will need to get a residential parking permit. Is it easy enough for both of us to get one each as I heard that they can be strict and only give one per house?

You can add two registrations to one permit but the form on the TCC website which seems t relate more to Clonmel states "Where, there are two vehicle registrations on the residents permit, and both vehicles are parking at the same time at the designated parking set out on the resident’s permit, only one vehicle can display the valid resident’s parking permit. The second vehicle must display a valid pay and display ticket."

I would imagine the following would also be required (required in Clonmel):

-The applicant must be on the Register of Electors at the address for which the permit is required or alternatively a letter from their landlord stating that they are resident at the address for which the permit is required.

    - The vehicle must be registered in the applicant’s name at the address for which the permit is required. The Logbook/Vehicle Licensing Certificate must be submitted for inspection along with the application form.

    - A current insurance certificate confirming that the vehicle is normally kept by the resident at the resident’s address in the Ticket Parking Place to which the disc will relate.

    - The applicant must submit a domestic utility bill, e.g. electric, gas, telephone, tv licence or property tax bill, in the name and address of applicant for which the permit is required (if a prepay customer please request confirmation from service company of proof that you are an account holder) .

    - Application fee is paid upon submission of an application to the Local Authority (being Tipperary County Council)

    - Any other information, which may be requested by the Local Authority.
