Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Drivers that stay in the fast lane, making it difficult for drivers in the slow lane to pass out slower traffic ahead of them!!😡

I was going to come on here to state a pre-annoyance but I don't have to now, so it's been upgraded to a proper annoyance. It's the classic waiting for somebody to deliver and install something. Suppose to happen between 12 and 4, but then got a call at 3.15 to say that the person 'took ill, and had to go home'.

"So it'll be delivered tomorrow?" I asked.

    "Well...or another day".

I took time off work this week to do stuff, and wanted to get this ticked off early. But now I am...:pac:

And the y, u, h, n, and m keys on my laptop are usually need to be thumped a few times before they will work.

I was in Next earlier and beside where I was browsing there was a woman trying on clothes and I could hear but not see a little girl behind the corner sitting down who I presume was her daughter. The woman was admiring herself for ages anyway and then went to get another pair of whatever in a different size, the young child who was about four followed her. Next thing I heard a massive bang and a loud cry and beside where the little girl was sitting was a little boy no more than one on the floor face down. He had fallen from the chair he was sitting on. I picked him up and the mother rushed back and gave her daughter a bollocking for leaving him sitting there and not waiting with him. Like the whole shop could hear this. The poor girl was distraught.

It literally took me all my might to not intervene and tell the mother it was actually her fault and she shouldn’t leave a 4 year old to supervise a little baby while she flithers off about the shop admiring herself. Could hear my boyfriend in my head telling me to mind my own business :D
Poor kids. Still thinking about them.

    2 TA's today ...

#1. People answering questions with a 'yeah' when it wasnt a yes / no question ....
eg "How was your holiday?" .... "Yeah. It was xyz". "Whats the weather like there?" .... "Yeah. Its grand / cr@p / etc"
Its like they assume I asked a different question .... 'Was the weather nice?' Instead of what I actually said ....

#2. People not saying what they mean .... Guy in work today was 'collecting money for cancer' . He was gobsmacked when I wouldn't contribute , I said I was against it, dont like it, won't support it. He said the money goes to a good cause where they research cures .... I told him that that's not what he said originally, he said he was collecting for cancer not for anti-cancer, or xancer cure or cancer research. He said I was pedantic (NOT first times m I heard this!) .... But imagine if someone was 'collecting for hare coursing' ... Are they for it or against it?

    *thx for reading my vent!*

The mobile site is fine. It is the responsive site you should avoid at all costs.

All I can think when I hear someone asking that question is "Erm, I think you'll find that that's none of your business." Think, not say.

Got my hair cut the other day and the barber asked if I was going anywhere nice on my 'hollibops'.

Anyway, his funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date as, owing to the severity of his injuries, it's proving difficult to formally identify his remains.

Why do some vegan products try to look like meat and cheese? I had a taste of a vegan 'burger' on Sunday (pack of 2 for 7.50). Was pure durt. Also 'vegan cheese', if it's vegan, it's not cheese. Tell me what it is, rather than what it's not.

    OH NO!!!!!

I'm worried that I might start using this term now to p!ss off my nearest and dearest, but that then it will slip into normal conversation and I'll use it when talking to anyone else too

You all have my permission to kill me if this comes to pass.

Aaaargh, before I've even finished this post I'm singing "Hollibops, hollibops, Oooh holli-hollibops" to the tune of "Lollipop" by the Chordettes in my brain

I've thought this myself as I'm picking up Quorn "chicken" slices in the supermarket. I guess its to ease the transition to a veggie/vegan diet.

Have yet to try a vegan burger but everything else has been delicious.

People who are horrible to customer service advisers.

Was hiding in a local branch of a well known fast food chain.
The woman with a approx 4 yr old sitting across from me who's table was a fright, even for there outside term time.
In the 20 mins she was there, she screeched and paced from her table and the counter at least ten times, 'loudly assertive' tone giving out to all 3 staff members about the toy the child got with its meal. Constantly making comments about how untidy the place was and badly run it was and how she would not accept any type of compensation over the issue with the toy.
She first had a go at the youngster who's 1st day it was, then she moved onto the staff member who didn't have much english , finally deciding to tell the more senior staff member who was far too respectful to her all about her issue and how she couldn't understand it and how she was going to call Joe Duffy about it all.
To finish up she went back to the table and brought the topic up with the preciously oblivious child, who started to cry and then mum blamed that on staff as well.
She flounced off without cleaning her table.

Way to go lady, harasses staff, wreck the environment for the rest of us and make your own child cry. I get its your child's toy and all, but was it worth all that drama?

House for rent, ad went up today, its in one of the new rent pressure zones, €1144 per month. Squeezing out every bit of that 4% obviously.

TA that I’ve set precedent that when it’s one of my niece’s bdays I’ll get the other one “something small” so they don’t feel left out. This was all well and good at the start but now there’s five of them, and although I wouldn’t have it any other way this month has been an absolute financial colonoscopy and I’ve just spent an absolute fortune on squeaky shlt and fluffy crap. Only myself to blame of course for the big ejit that I am

Sitting outside, trying to enjoy the sun and the birds singing while I wait for someone. Instead, having to endure a man having a shouted phone conversation in his car about everything from his dislike of cats to his "hoor" of a family member. God help the person on the other end of the phone! He has said goodbye to them three times.

    Happens me a lot

Today I wasted a lot of time to figure out something on a clients account. Trying lots of different things and no solution

I walk to a teammates desk and explain the issue and within 10 seconds before they even replied I figure it out myself! I don’t even need advice, just them to listen

I don’t know what this happens but as soon as I explain an issue to somebody and talk out loud I instantly figure it out

Bought a pack of 12 purple snacks at the weekend but left them in the boot. Now melted. In the freezer hoping to get them back to an edible state.

Should they just be taken out one by one when we want to eat them?

An out and out bully. And service advisors really don't give a hoot if contacting the Joe Duffy show is threatened. Plus the Joe Duffy show, silly as it may be, still doesn't just let anyone on, and would not consider her "grievance" to be worth ****.

Thinking of a clever/funny response to something way too late. Ffred posted a photo of the character Ted Striker from Airplane! in the ‘Picture the boards member game’ for me and I’m only just after realising my reaction should have been “surely you can’t be serious”.

    Golden opportunity wasted.

People who think they walk fast infuriate me. I do walk really fast most of the time as I'm always late.

I frequently pass by a "fast walker" and get this, they break into a run to get back in front of me move across my line and then "fast walk" 10 metres in front of me, until I pass them again and then they break into a run etc.

You should be allowed to kick the legs from under them.

What is the mindset "He walks fast but not as fast as me, quick, run"

I kinda get this with other motorists. I'll come up behind someone who's moving along smartly and quiet contentedly. I'll overtake them, pop back into the outside lane. Give it a few moments and they've decided to overtake me at speed which is faster than they had been doing before I over took them.

I think they don't like being overtaken by a family car.
