Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a ringing endorsement of the EPL. Will be lucky to have one team in the quarter finals

Flicked over to watch the last 20 minutes

The decision to do so was the correct one for me personally

It will forever be a pleasure to piss myself laughing at Liverpool

Has a team ever won a CL and then a PL title the season after

Unprecedented achievement surely, footballing gods you might say

    Oblak was superb .

    Tut tut liverpool fans leaving...

At least they have a Champions League match to leave. Enjoy your mickey mouse cup match against Accrington Stanley tomorrow in an empty stadium.

There is no chance that this champions League will be completed this year.

I’d say there’s a chance, though it’s getting slimmer by the day.

Souness talking rubbish, Liverpool have been losing a lot recently, doubt the fear was there for other teams compared to earlier in the season.

I feel sorry for adrian. He'll be the scapegoat. But TAA and Gomez were shocking for AMs goals. Adrian miss kicked the ball AMs first
Thats all. Plenty of chances to defend it but Trent doesnt do defending.

His feet were terrible for the first! Any decent keeper has themselves set for the shot in time.

    Adrian mistake cost them,
They had to go chase the game then
Adrian is an accident waiting to happen

Wonder will he get the same treatment Karius got when he made a few mistakes in the champions league?

Tbf YDW, all we hear most of the time is

"Adrian is the best back up goalkeeper in the world "

" Lovren is the best 4th choice centre back in the world"

And then when they play they cost you games.

Adrians not even the best back up goalkeeper in England. Romero is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

City will be delighted with that result. Themselves & PSG should see this year as a right year to have a go. Liverpool are out now, Juve, Barca & Real arent particularly strong & they have nothing else to focus on. That's whenever this resumes after next week's games mainly behind closed doors.

Souness giving out about Athletico because they beat his team. He can’t comprehend that their game plan worked. So funny.

Like Karius, Adrian will walk alone from now on. You'll Never Walk Alone*

Walk alone is the least of his worries! It’s the death threats he’s to try an avoid

So their gameplan was to be battered off the pitch in everything but the scoreline, and then wait for an average backup keeper to make some howlers in extra-time? OK, gotcha!

I can assure you they have. It's been posted several times how great Lovren is as a 4th choice CB compared to others that would be 4th choice.

If KDB is out for a while I don't think City will win it. Bayern have a very good chance. All depends if the rest of the games are postponed and for how long.

No sympathy for Pool, there's teams fighting relegation that have better back ups than Adrian. He was a bizarre signing and they've paid the price.

Howlers? He misplaced his clearance. Slipped when diving. These things happen a lot. A misplaced pass isn’t a howler confused one. You don’t really know your football if you don’t know how defensive Simone sets his team up.

Where did they get battered off the pitch? I missed that.

Let's be fair there by far the better team and once Adrian messed up they had to go gun hó for a goal,
    The mistake changed the result

If you believe that then you are as bitter as souness or you know jack sh1t about football.

They were by far the better team, but couldn't take the chances. Athletico got 2 goals that should have been saved, 1st one really demoralised pool and was effectively game over.

I'd advise you go read a book or educate yourself some other way.
