You'd fear for us against Switzerland.

Denmark should have had 3 or 4 goals against us at least on Friday.

Nothing tonight suggests we are a top 2 team in the group. It was abject and pretty hopeless.

remember when we were worried england would cap him?:pac:

I suppose in a way it's good to know that now... whenever we're looking for a goal, we now know he's definitely not the option to pick.

For all Shane Longs woes, he's still our best centre forward.

Is there there any hope of neutral Switzerland starting a war and getting thrown out by UEFA?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Mick didn't even use 3 subs.

    Isn't Hendrick a bit perplexing.

    More athleticism
    Skill
    Strength then anyone

    But just floats in games.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't take at least one hiding in our remaining games. It'll happen sooner or later.

I know i know but if we even manage a draw against the Swiss in September the group is still in our hands. I hope we dont sh!t the bag like we did before.

4 strikers on the pitch tonight for us, think they had one shot on target between them. Against Gibraltar.

This ^^^. This is the issue, against an amateur team, at home. Christ.

The only way we can win games is with hoof ball, these players don't have the quality to play like other teams Mon knew this.

He's been poor enough though, and we know exactly what he offers over the years. I'd have rathered see O'Dowda and Maguire and Doherty get (more) time.

Jaysus just looked him up, mcgoldrick is 31. I had him at mid 20’s

McCarthy has some explaining to do, O’Donoghue better not let him off the hook re Doherty and other issues.

Is Brady coming back from injury ?

One of our best player and that match was ideal for him even if unfit.

Poor auld Didi Hamann sounds like he wants a transfer to another studio.
I thought he was going to break into German at one stage, he was so frustrated.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    He was injured for ages.
I'd say they did not feel they needed to risk him.

I’d say Mick will be treated lightly. Unlike his predecessor, he is likeable. Shouldn’t matter, but it does (in all walks of life)

We used to say at least we have Coleman,
    Brady, Jimmy Hendrick.

Not sure what to say now ?

Almost forgot Randolph as I didn't see him tonight.

    We have Duffy

Meh. Were going to have to wait for Stephen Kenny to take the reigns before well see some real change. Mick has no interest.

The game against the Swiss will be very interesting

  • Good result

I'd have ripped your hand off if someone's had said 10 points at the start of the campaign

He's had injury issues for a lot of the season. And didn't play a huge amount.

To be fair, having started Friday night I wouldn't expect him to start again just three days later. Given he's still recovering his fitness.

Surely ten points was a reasonable expectation?

What real changes is Mick gonna make in 8 games is it? When Kenny comes in he'll have 6 games in the nation's league to experiment and make the changes he wants. Mick is a transitional manager brought in as a stop gap, he wasn't brought in to make real change as that will be for Kenny who will hopefully be given some time to make the changes.
