Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Need some tennis balls

And that's all that matters really, going into the summer top of the group.

This is Gibraltar they’re playing against, its going into the last 5 minutes and they only need a goal to equalize. If you’re not seeing warning signs here you’re deluding yourself

In fairness MON would have been crucified for this. And I was not a fan of his.

  • Registered Users Posts: 653 ✭✭✭Gonad

We desperately need a midfielder to come along who can take the ball with his back to goal and get turned and makes things happen . There is so much space just in front of the Gibraltar back 8 and a decent baller would be dropping in there and making havoc

Cannon balls is what they need

This game was perfect for taking a bit of a risk. Leaving the usual older lads out, going with O Dowda, Doherty, Cullen, etc and yet we’re still stuck in the same rut

Questions need to be asked alright. 10 points is brilliant but tonight was fookin shyte

Mick wasn't brought in to take risks and didn't have friendlies or a nation's league to try different options out. There's gonna be no big changes made to the team until Kenny comes in long term.

At least try a different corner taker

Wes made mincemeat of this lot last time we played in the Aviva. We've nobody close atm.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Where we are at : playing a side at home, who are by my maths 166 places below us in the FIFA rankings. A team of part timers, who we have managed over 87 minutes to manage about...

2 attempts in total on target
    1 goal (an og)

Nice...at home, against.. non professional part time footballers.

    Robinson by a mile

    MotM Robinson surely.

    McGoldrick given MOTM

    Should’ve been Robinson

There is no way the manager or players can defend this. There is no way they can come out say the usual tripe. Embarrassing.

    McGoldrick motm

    Pmsl

You wouldn't mind the scoreline if GIB had played well defensively but they have been crap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,306 ✭✭✭sonic85

I never had much of an opinion on the likes of Dan Crowley but we need to get the likes of him and Jack Byrne into the squad as regulars and see if they can be creative influences. There's not one shred of flair in this team.

McGoldrick getting MOTM is a joke. Robinson has been head and shoulders the best Irish player on the field

Senility level through the roof not picking Robinson.

Judge could have been that player if he didn't get injured against Denmark .He's good with the ball at his feet and has a good delivery of the ball.

I'm afraid to criticise him for obvious reasons but he's an incredibly limited player and ridiculously predictable. An LoI player would offer more than him.

How many shots have we had that are on target? Pathetic performance and pathetic team selection. Too many guys living on past reputations still playing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,240 ✭✭✭✭briany

He meant the keeper kicking the ball out all the time. Maybe he bet on how many throw ins there would be!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Keeper has shocking distribution but he's stopped a few shots in fairness to him

We’ll get the ‘no easy games’ spiel, when we all know the Swiss and Danes will put 5 or 6 past these lads

2-0, comfortable victory, clean sheet and ten points is the line they'll run with.

Ronnie genuinely sounds disappointed we scored a second.
