He has been getting forward in pre-season in the new formation. Good fixtures in an attacking team. I'm not expecting miracles from him, it's just an educated punt.
How many goals and assists in preseason?

Handy that he is a wait and see project as I think west ham could be involved in alot of goalfests this year very good going forward very exposed at the back

One assist. Who's your pick of the 4.5s?

Anyone considering the super cup game next wednesday between Chelsea and Liverpool when making their selections. Liverpool are Fri, Wed , sat. Chelsea are Sun, Wed, Sun. The game is in Istanbul so a bit of travel . I'm thinking for Liverpool none of taa, matip or Gomez will start all 3 of those games whereas Vvd and robertson will . It's putting me off TAA somewhat.

Have VVD,Maguire,Digne,Martin Kelly and Lundstram as my back 5.
    Pope and Heaton as Keepers.

Do people think Cahill might start the season in Kelly’s place at Palace....

If so who is next best 4m to bring in?.....

    Thanks for any thoughts.

How many times have you seen Montoya playing? His first option is the back pass, he doesn't get forward and cross the ball much.

I had Montoya last year when I went for the Triple up on the Double DGW.

    Massively disappointing.

Can’t understand all these positive reviews

Cue last minute thoughts, is anyone going with Felipe Anderson?

Good season last year at a decent price this year.

    11th best midfielder, 7.0.

Bar City in GW1 (who a lot are deciding against going defensively for other reasons), they've a niceish 11 game run. (MCI, bri, wol, NOR, vil, MUN, bou, CRY, eve, SHU, NEW)

Originally had King and Kane up front, now gone Kane alone with 5 in midfield

    Case for Felipe?

I think I rather Lanzini tbh and 0.5m cheaper.

Would it be stupid to still go with Coleman following Sidibe signing? Was planning to double up with Digne for nice early fixtures.

I would have thought so, yes.

Next best 4m defender is probably Johnson for West Ham, but he's not exactly nailed either.

I presume they'll just be sitting on your bench anyway though?

He got 120 points last year , same as Wan Bissaka who has 36% percent ownership

Wan Bissaka started at 4m last year, playing for a much poorer team than who he now plays for. Also, he gets some extra % ownership because he's Man U now. Not the best comparison.

Will be on bench but Kelly or Lundstram might have to come in an odd time so would like to start the season with 15 pretty nailed on lads in squad.

Can't remember how much ake was last year . 4.5 maybe ? Bournemouth home to Sheffield United this week. Maybe people banking on a clean sheet for first week

Yeah i dunno. Maybe it's coz the options at 5m aren't brilliant, though i'd be looking at 4.5m options or even the likes of Zouma, KWP, or our very own Enda Stevens, ahead of Aké. Watch Aké go and score a goal and clean sheet gw1 now lol

Drinkwater could be going to Burnley on loan, might be a good cheap option if that deal goes through.

The fixtures are good I've tried to think of who to get in but Its kind of a bust for me. Anderson is similar to Zaha without all the penalty wins, great at progressing the ball up the pitch but his shooting or shot selection isn't great.

I'm taking a wait an see approach with the team, will be opposing their defence had the 6th most highest expected goals against last season only Fabiski performed heroics, a level of performance he most likely won't keep up again this season

David Luiz on his way to Arsenal.

Doesn't make Arsenal defence relevant obviously, but Zouma and Christensen will most likely start the season now at 5m each.

Of those two Zouma is the pick. Not because he is better, or has more attacking threat. He just won’t break every time he plays 55 minutes unlike the other bloke!

Could strengthen them at that back and make a case for Leno at 5m. I'd still personally rather put faith in a 4.5m keeper.

    Zouma at 5m is attractive.

Currently have Digne/Dunk alongside my Liverpool duo.

    Zouma + a 5.5 option better? Zinch/Stones/Vertongen/Maguire?

Looking at possible deadline day moves that could impact the big FPL players:
    - Leicester closing a €20m deal for a AM from Sampdoria (Dennis Praet) - competition for Perez, Tielemans, Maddison.
    - Brighton looking to get Mooy - probably plays deeper than the popular picks here (Tossard, Murray, Maupay), more creativity for Brighton?
    - Nekitah, Wickham looking at loans to Championship. We're running out of 4.5m striker fodder

In the Draft game, I was 8th pick out of 8th.

What happens with new transfers into the game - Do I get first choice or something?

I wouldn’t be mad into having a Chelsea defender but if Luiz leaving means Dave goes central it could give a 4.5m option in Zappacosta.

Yeah but AWB didn't have as much competition for bps at Crystal Palace. He'll find it a lot harder to get them at United.

    Reece James is highly rated

Had surgery in April or May and had rehab over the summer. He’s dues back second week of September according to premier injuries.

So 2 of Christensen, Zouma or Dave will start.

From the below - I can't tell if I can pick any player before the deadline tomorrow or else before the GW 2 deadline

    Any idea?
The lowest ranked team will get first waiver choice. Before the season starts the waiver order will be the reverse of the draft order. Once a waiver request is successful, the team in question will move to the end of the waiver queue for that gameweek.

If more than one team are tied on points, their position in the league table will be determined randomly. As a result, the lowest positioned team will get the higher waiver order.

Sheffield United manager just said this. Could be trouble for Lundstram
We are trying to add a central midfield player to the group and if we do I’ll be delighted with what we’ve done so far, in terms of what I was given at the back end of last season and how we have gone about it in structure, the age and the ambition and desire of the players we have brought in

He's playing up front in an extremely attacking team. Fixtures aren't brilliant but their the kind of team you'd fancy to score against anybody. First up is Wolves at home. Wolves play this evening in Armenia(Europa League) a round trip of over 6k miles, so they may be fatigued. Chelsea away after doesn't sound great but Chelsea haven't looked great defensively under Lampard - i'd expect Leicester to score in that one as well. After that they play Sheff Utd and Bournemouth - 2 decent fixtures. So to start out i think their prospects are pretty good. Mind you gw5-8 they play Man U, Spurs and Liverpool so i'd be a bit concerned there. But i'm more than happy to have one of their attackers starting out.

Martial's minutes to points ratio is fantastic the last two seasons

    18/19 - 122 points in 1613 minutes (18 starts/9 sub appearances)
    17/18 - 125 points in 1572 minutes (18 starts/12 sub appearances)

Surely he's a nailed on starter this year for United so we should see an uptick in points this year
