Actually thinking about gambling on Lacazette in place of Aguero. Temporarily at least. Though will probably join the line of woeful ideas I've had this season.

I love him as a player. Pure quality striker.

But I owned him towards the end of last season and it was torture iirc. Emery swaps and changes too much.

I could buy him in but it would be instead of Abraham and I just can’t justify that kind of gamble.

I have fallen into the Lacazette trap numerous times. I would love if he was guaranteed 90 mins week in week out.

Was all set to bench boost this weekend but yellow flag on Mount has me backing off.

Anyone know if he is likely to miss out?

Brave man bench boosting this week, rotation always more likely after European games and before IBs also pool and city playing each other. Surely there will be better weeks?

Arsenal had one ball into the box in the entire game last night and that was for the goal. I'm a fan of Laca but Emerys tactics are stifling them, even if he was guaranteed 90 minutes I don't think he'd be a great option the way they're playing now. There's talk that a bad defeat at Leicester could be the final straw for the board to fire Emery. That would be good for ff.

Players you’d love to own if managers weren’t ****ehawks ?

    Mahrez and Lacazette.

The FPL fun would be huge if those guys got 90 minutes every week.

    AOC if he played regularly

    AOC if he played regularly

Was the third player I was going to mention but feel it’s more his injuries that have held him back rather than selection by the manager.

If he does break into the starting 11 he’ll be great value.

    My bench this week is

    Heaton (a)
    Traore (h)
    Pieters (h)
    Lundstram (a)

Think i'll play the BB. Don't know when or if I'll have 15 starters again

    That’s a 100% BB for me
I’m hoping for a week like that soon..........
No hits and a double digit return ....even 10 points and I’ll be happy
So the first week I’ve full 15 again and both keepers have decent games I’m playing it

Pieters was taken off at half-time last week so Taylor could be starting at left-back for Burnley.

They were 3 down at half time though

All the more reason for Dyche to tinker with his defence this week.

Is Pope Lundstram Cantwell dendonker a bench worth using bench boost? 3 of them have home fixtures

    Yes imo
    Lundstrum is away though

Is Cantwell likely to play the full game? I'm thinking of starting him over a half fit Mount that might only get a brief sub appearance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,012 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I'm in the same boat, I also have Cantwell but thinking of Rico to play instead.

Madness to play both Robbo and TAA at home to City?

(Cantwell, Rico, Dunk being one of the three that would take over from Robbo if I benched him)

If you have them: play them. Simples!

You'd want to be starting them every GW. As the old adage goes "you have them for their attacking returns, not their clean sheets".

Cantwell has been getting pulled early recently. Though he'd probably stick around if he plays well in the first place.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

    Guardiola on Aguero:

"He was born scoring goals and he will die scoring goals. We have two incredible strikers. It's quite similar the minutes they played. He has his own qualities, different from Gabriel, but I'm so delighted with both of them."

He also talks about Liverpool's game and how his defence may have to play differently. The suggestion being they'll be playing deeper than usual and they may not be able to play out from the back.

I do think there is a good chance Pieters is dropped this week. Taylor ultimately is first choice but Dyche is very loyal so once your in the team you stay in the team which is why he stuck with Pieters. Results have now been poor so every chance he will now make a change.

I’m playing Cantwell ahead of Tielemans. Don’t want two Leicester attackers against Arsenal

    Crazy
    Arsenal can’t defend
    Play him

Play one of Pieters/Rico/Lundstram? Had been on Pieters but after reading the last few posts I think it’ll be Rico, I have Henderson in goals so not sure of a double up v Spurs!
