You would think the most logical thing to do if going for a treble was a priority would be to play a full strength team against Chelsea in Cup, rest players v Bournemouth and then go full strength for Madrid.

Have feeling Klopp won't play it like that though so would still expect main fpl assets to play v Bournemouth.

I don't think he will play kids against Chelsea anyways, that's for sure. That was 2 exceptionable circumstances that happened in the League Cup & the FA Cup during the break.

For the other games, it was clear that players on the fringes of the first team or players coming back from injury played the cup games, supplemented by the better youngsters. Adrian, Gomez, Lovren, Matip, Ox, keita, Lallana, Origi, Minamino were mainstays in the cup teams.

I can see a stronger team playing in the FA Cup myself. Not an exactly full strength team but maybe Adrian and then Williams & Milner as full backs with Matip & VVD at CB for example. Henderson, Keita & an other in midfield, then Mane, Origi and Minamino or an other.

Random question but have the FF platform got rid of the Chat/Discuss functionality that it had for people in different leagues (I remember it years ago), just trying to get in contact with someone who is in a small private league, but don't have contact details, and I figure if they signed up, then if the chat/discussion element was still active then they would be notified if a message is posted.

Think thats more hassle than its worth. Ive used my wildcard and could see me needing hits to get out a full squad by the time the dgw comes around. Id be more than happy with all 15 players starting and 15 pts from my BB.

I think the BB should be used within 1-3 weeks of the WC.

It’s borderline But you prob only need one clean sheet to make it a success
That’s the way I looked at mine
Pope and Henderson both had a good fixtures that week .. benched Henderson and he delivered the clean sheet
Jiminez got me an assist
Kelly conceded at home to Brighton but Fredricks the rascal kept an unexpected clean sheet away !
So 19 points
And most importantly of all
Not a single hit to get it
Bench boost in dgw is a trap. A huge trap. It COST me points last year
First year of bench boost I played it gw3 (or 4 . Early in season anyway) and I got 28 points from it .
So I agree wholeheartedly with you
Now lets look at yours
Mccarthy home to Villa - a chance of a clean sheet but my gut says they may concede as it’s a real six pointer and Grealish is on fire
Boly home to Norwich - good chance of Cleanie but norwich are capable of an away goal
Taylor home to Bournemouth- also good chance of clean sheet. Very good chance imo . He will prob have it on my bench
Mooy away to sheff united - 2 pointer imo

So
You COULD get 3 clean sheets but you can reasonably expect one anyway
All players should also play
Maybe a save point or 2

So unless you see another similar week very soon ......and of course you could have injuries ...
