Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ferry Booking Price Change

An hour ago I looked at Direct Ferries.com for the best rate to the UK.

I got three choices for my dates (out June 24, back June 25) at around €80 each way with car.

I left the computer screen for half-an-hour and returned to book. When I filled in the form the screen refreshed and I was told that all three companies had put up their prices since I last checked. It was now about €380 return for all three - more than double the price.

I have no idea if I would have gotten the advertised price if I had booked immediately.

Anyway, I was only interested in one of the sailings - more suitable times - so I switched from Firefox (which I normally use) to Chrome and opened an "incognito" page.

I logged into the ferry company I wanted to use (not into directferries.com) and booked my return journey for €180+.

Just thought I'd share the experience.

    D.
