Where to buy out-right a Drinks Vending Machine

    Hi

    Anyone have recommendations of where I could buy a machine (new or 2nd hand). We can stock ourselves etc. It gonna go into a community hall setup and sell cola and water etc as we don't have a full shop. This way - there will always be access to some sort of a drink for users of the hall.

    I don't want to go down the line of a free machine installed and get commission on sales as I don't think we will do enough business for same.

    Am watching Done Deal etc...

    Are the people in it trustworthy enough to just put a box in for money? And have the cans in a fridge.

    We have charity snacks in work with "honesty boxes", some does go missing alright but I reckon the cost and added size of one of those machines would be a lot more than a regular fridge. Then if the mechanism breaks down it might cost a fortune to get a specialist in.

    The business beside me has members of the public in and they just have a box for money.

    You might pick up a fridge for free on adverts or somebody in the community might donate. A small fridge might be better as if it was looted not much would be gone, keep stock in a locked area.

    The independent vending machines suppliers aren’t too pushed on high turnover, they are happy to put in a machine and visit it twelve times a year. It would be worth talking to one.

    Another option might be to talk to Coca-Cola Hellenic (the Irish distributor), or similar, to see if they might consider a charitable donation of one of their old machines.

    Hellenic just replaced our extremely low volume machine in work - it had gone to basically nothing after the coin acceptor got incredibly picky; I ended up with a can that was months out of date when I figured out what coins it *would* take. Replaced a can-only with this thing that can do cans, crisps and bars

    Because they *make* the drinks they're quite happy to take the low volume on that and any of the other stuff is just a bonus.

    I don't even know how they pay us commission and I'm the account contact - probably get a cheque in a few years for 50p :pac:
