Adjusting weighing scales

Does anyone on here know how I’d adjust my weighing scales or know if anyone that would calibrate them. The closest I can get to 0 on it is 85kg and when you turn the screw it goes down as far as around 60? Any help greatly appreciated

This family lived close to where I grew up. As far as I know they are highly regarded but I have never used them.

You might need to take off the back plate on the clock and check if everything is in place, had an old clock where the cog on the back of the needle would jump if the scales were moved in the trailer. You just had to manually move it back before using the screw for fine tuning.

Right ok. Is there much of a risk of all spilling out?

Took the front off mine and moved the needle to 0 just fine tune it after and is accurate.

Same thing happened to mine last year. Just sums up the quality of what their making these days. Fired it in the bin and bought a new one online for €20. Same ones ( but maybe better brands ) can be got for €150 in ag merchants. Many lads on here pointed me in the right direction, a world of them available on Amazon

Does it sit alright on your weigh bridge or did you make one up to suit it

Why make of scales is it ? I’ve a Ritchie scales here. Just after doing the bearings on the sides and piled it. Won’t go back passed 4kgs

It’s a salter scales, not sure who made the crate for it. It’s only 2 year old

My last scales was a salter as well. The screws holding the back on were made of soft metal and disintegrated when I tried to open up the back, so couldn’t open it. Ended up in the bin

Sorry. Missed your post.

Yes straight fit, I did however use one of hooks from the old one as it was a bit shorter and a better fit.
