Hi All, Just looking for some info on cycling from say Enfield to Mullingar via the canal. Anyone here done it recently? Wondering if the surface is in good condition or is it quite overgrown? Thanks in advance

Perfect tar or grit surface from Enfield to a bridge on the L1003, then road to Fureys Pub, then tar or grit all the way to Mullingar, beautiful cycle, highly recommend it, especially in summer.

All the route on purpose built segregated paths or else local access only.

This is the 'diversion' you need to take, but this will be open in the next couple of weeks.
