    Then the evil system would have bankrupted her while she was defending her 'good name', and she'll ask "true patriots" for donations so she can keep the shit show on the road ( her odds of working as a journalist again being very slim at this stage).

    But I think Veronica Guerin’s brother is suing her and someone else too? Can’t recall

    Got an insurance payout when her husband died also and the mortgage was probably paid off.

    Reason is an editorial they did about her, link is a couple of pages back including her tweet about it.

    They actually posed the same question in the article re where's the money coming from and reckon it's the states, maybe not the case but some people know.

    I wonder will any of her dunder-headed follower actually engage in a bit of self-reflection when Gemma does finally get the help she needs and is diagnosed with a fairly serious underlying mental health condition.

    Will it cause them to ask themselves how they wasted part of their lives picketing google or facebook or wherever, will it cause them to wonder how they could be so bitter, suspicious and afraid of minority groups.
    Or will they double down again and actually become more extreme?

    Quinn is an interesting one - I always took him to be a garden variety Catholic social conservative (fair enough, to my view it's a bit hypocritical, but there's a constituency for it, and it's a fairly common position), but lately he seems to be focussing his ire on the environmentalist movement and the evils of socialism - like a lot of people, he seems to have seen the American culture war template for a conservative and squeezed himself into it.
