    Oh ffs! Really? Wikipedia?

Fascism is not left or right. It's notoriously hard to define and more often than not refers to methods used to achieve their political goals. Left wing groups can absolutely be fascist. Hitler claimed to be and did actually have socialist ideals.

Far be it for me to argue with the anonymous author in Wikipedia but maybe try some actual scholars on the subject?

If you were defining the methods you would more likely call them authoritarianism and totalitarianism. Stalin was both of these but isn't defined as fascist.
An example of the term being misused by people would be the idea that the Nazis were left-wing socialists which is being pushed by the likes of Dinesh D'Souza/PragerU, but they're not taken seriously by actual academics in universities that actually exist.
The people protesting the lockdown aren't fascist either, they're looking for individual rights despite them being dangerous to the common good. Not fascists, just plain garden variety fcuking morons.

More importantly, behind her. Who dragged ing someone with downs syndrome?

Thats not an insult either, it genuinely seems like some a*sehole decided to bring someone with downs syndrome down this road of derangement.

Great. None of which suggests my original comment or follow ups were incorrect. Can you point out the parts that say fascists can be right wing only?

Oh are we going down that rabbit hole. Let me guess this is where you start going going on about Hitler being a socialist...

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

There's a mixture in there for sure but at this stage you really can't deny that Gemma O'Doherty, Dolores Webster, John Waters, Rowan Croft all have fascist far right links.

Thats excellent. Poor Jim Corr. Someone should use him as a reference point in a study for social media radicalisation. Hes clearly an easily influenced twitter addict whos mind has been poisoned.

Its mad how people who get heavily into theories prioritise social media and social media buddies over everything else and even over their own families in some cases. Family and friends disowned and blocked. Over an app. Very sad. And its not like this is news. There are 10 year old studies on the dangers of social media to certain types of people.

No hes started off on 9/11. Came to the conclusion it was a conspiracy instantly because someone sent him a video. Everything has come from that. A very gullible man.

Seriously? Are you suggesting People with down sydndrome are all helpless people with no mind of their own and incapable of independent thought and action?

I’m well aware of it. More aware of it that most, and That’s why I didn’t say it. The Original post was the stupid and completely ignorant claim I picked up on and then You jumped to the wrong conclusion about it.

And putting their lives in danger. A person with downs syndrome would have an compromised immune system in the first place.

    Absolute gob****es. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Rowan croft does, the rest are just nutters, waters with a Catholic Church link but thats it. Just because a far right person believes in a cause it does not make it far right. Gemma is her own bag of mental but she's just a conspiracy loon without political affiliation or adherence to a spectrum of politics, calling her or most of her band of attention seekers far right diminishes the much more sinister playbook behind them.

    Why?
It strikes me from your poorly formed and uneducated opinion of DS that you need to educate yourself on it. Not others.

Gemma has links to Rowan Croft and Justin Barrett. There is no but... Gemma has many links to far right fascists and promotes many far right fascist causes.

Was in communication recently with somebody who was involved in one of Gemmas pet projects against Tusla (they now regret ever having been involved).

This person is convinced there is a genuine mental illness and the phrase ‘suicide by cop’ comes to mind. The laughing at her antics and negative reaction has no effect on her. Ultimately it’s a crusade against the cops and the media and everything else is secondary.

Again, it seems unfair & inconsistent that a group of striking workers were moved on, despite their keeping 2 metres apart, yet this bunch are allowed crowd around.
