Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Even if Arsenal win on pens they should be embarrassed with a 5-5 result against a team of Liverpool kids.

Emery should be sacked for taking ozil off after 60mins

Pleased for Kelleher. That Origi goal was massive for him.

Was watching our game and I could see the score going through. The owners of the club should go off and get some like Rafa or even JM, who will give them a fighting chance of progressing. They can still finish in the top four if they act fast. He's finished as manager of that bunch of players.

Hoping Everton get a handy draw and the likes of United Pool Leicester City all draw each other.

Only for us to lose to Colchester.

Saw the highlights of Pool V Arsenal. Some absolutely cracking goals. Ox and Willock(?)

Also some of the pens were taken very well. Bellerins stands out. Milner as comfortable as ever on a penalty.

    Arsenal played kids as well...

I mean it's bad in many ways but there's no need to frame like the Arsenal starting 11 v kids

    Oxford Vs City
    Everton Vs Leicester
    United V Colchester
    Villa Vs Pool

Not a suspicious draw at all :pac:

Yeah, Arsenal played some younger players but to be fair, not one of the outfield players selected would look out of place if named in their starting line up in the PL this season.

Martinelli has played for the first team 7 times this season (4 starts in EL & cups).
Saka has played for the first team 8 times this season including 4 PL starts.
Willock has played for the first team 13 times this season, including 4 PL starts, 5 PL subs.

Torreira, Holding, Maintland-Niles, Bellerin etc are all fairly experienced, along with Cabellos & Gendouzi who came on.

In contrast, the Liverpool kids who played were very inexperienced in comparison

    Kelleher 2nd ever senior appearance
    Williams 1st ever senior appearance
    Jones 3rd ever senior appearance
    Brewster 2nd ever senior appearance
Van Der Berg 1st start in England
    Elliot 2nd game for Liverpool

I'll go Citeh, Leicester, United & Villa. Everton Vs Leicester will be the best game of that lot. Think Leicester will be too strong for Everton.

Given the team that Liverpool put out last night, it was an embarrassing result.

Surely the easiest solution is just give Liverpool a bye into the semi finals.

Easiest solution was to make Liverpool exempt from the cup and give them an option to bow out if they really want to.. You can’t arbitrarily decide to give somebody a buy in the middle of a competition because you were retarded enough to not consider a team like Liverpool would make it to the quarters.

If Liverpool can't fulfill the fixture then Villa go through. Liverpool should have been thrown out of the competition for fielding an ineligible player in the third round.

why the EFL set the standard when the fined Middlesbrough for the same thing, can't have one rule of one and another rule for another

It’s the FA and their affiliate competition organisers who set the schedule. I don’t see how Liverpool can be held responsible for them not working the possibility of Liverpool making the quarter finals into the schedule. I mean it’s not as if it wasn’t known at the end of last season that Liverpool had won the Champions League and would be competing in this competition.

From a Villa perspective, I want to go through because Klopp decides to play the Under 23s, not because they’re denied a fair opportunity to play the game.

Whatever happens I hope Villa have a say in it and not just suited entirely for Liverpool. Every team has fixture pile ups throughout the season, success brings more onto that.

But where do you slot the fixture in other than where they’re talking about playing it?

Fixture should be placed in the only fixture slot available and both teams told to fulfil the fixture or forfeit. It shouldn’t be a negotiation with either side.

Liverpool will play Villa on the the 17th Birmingham and will also play in the CWC the next day in Qatar.

FIFA, UEFA and TV companies will love this going forward saying now clubs are big enough to play two games in two days thousands of miles apart.

How long before there will be before the top teams in the world will have a World League Squad and a Domestic League Squad.

Pickford made some save from Madison's penalty in fairness. Don't rate him that highly but was a cracking save

Decision making is what he lacks and that separates the good keepers from the world class.
