Decision making is what he lacks and that separates the good keepers from the world class.

    Also concentration.

Watch Pickford against United. The crowd were on his back all game and giving him a bit of stick for every kick out. He was concentrating more on having 'banter' with the home crowd than actually kicking to a team mate or watching the game.

He's a poor version of Joe Hart, which is not good, and probably the mouthiest Iwontsaywhat in the league.

Oh ya definitely. The Origi Liverpool goal will follow him around forever, it would only happen to him.

Yeah comes across like a very unlikeable character alright.

A poor man's Joe Hart is a quality insult too

Just remembered this is on tonight.

In theory City should have far to much for United, although Ole's record V the big teams is decent. I think City will win over the two legs.

Going for an obscure 1-1 result tonight with City to take it in the second leg.

    Teams:
Man United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Jones, Williams; Pereira, Fred; James, Lingard, Rashford; Greenwood.

Man City XI: Bravo; Rodri, Fernandinho, Otamendi; Walker, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Mendy; Mahrez, Bernardo; Sterling.

Not sure City's line-up. Is it 3-5-2/5-3-2 or will Rodri be in midfield with four at the back. Whatever the case, looks like he's not intending to fall victim to the counter threat this time.

I'll say 2-1 to City on the night.

343 for city as it has been for the last few games. I don’t particularly like it myself.

Citys midfield should have too much for utd. If utd had a decent midfield i would fancy our attackers against that city defence

    Great goal from Bernardo Silva.

Well that is a banger. Now lets see if Ole has a plan b, hope he does, more competitive games city have to play in, the better.

City carving United open atm. Williams struggling in a big way against Mahrez and Walker.

    He doesn't
He hasn't had one for nearly a year now

  • Embarrassing
    Ole hasn't a clue

2-0. Carved wide open again. Solskjaer no clue how to deal with it.

Wow, cut open so easy. Nice goal.

Utd are so bad there is no joy left in seeing them lose. It is a woeful performance by. What are they trying to do in this game?

The home fans are like bottom end teams cheering corners

Lindelof is such a weak defender

He's been sold a pup unfortunately. Great player and easily United's best LB currently with bags of potential but he's marking two men tonight.

No help in front of him.

Feel sorry for him this evening.

Carved open yet again. 3-0. Own goal.

Solskjaer begging for VAR to spare the extent of the spanking.

Jaysus :/ Williams unlucky there, decent attempt at covering.

    What's Ole pîssed at?

Great player? Really? He's played 13 games so far this season (less than 10 games in minutes) and you think he's a great player? The bar must be incredibly low.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Lindelof is such a weak defender

That attempt at a header was awful, followed by some admiring of his poor header while Mahrez gets in behind and then that attempted slide, embarrassing.

Then he's caught about 30 yards out of position for the third mistiming a potential header and slipping on his backside

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    This should be like 5-0.

How much more pain will this fanbase endure because of a goal in '99 ffs?

What a ball, Sterling should score.

I do and it is. Great probably a little too strong but certainly bags of potential IMO.

It's an indictment of how the standard is so low at United right now.

Best LB at United currently? Absolutely.

Should be starting over Shaw everyday of the week.

Better LB's in the world right now that would improve United? Absolutely.

Could easily be 6 or 7 here had City been more clinical.

Worst utd midfield in a long time

Barely any boos. Adolf in the bunker didn't get this level of deluded loyalty. If the club were managed by someone without legendary status there would be a meltdown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,428 ✭✭✭facehugger99

    Feck sake.

Was hoping City would have to put out a reasonably strong side in the 2nd leg, instead it’s looking like it’ll be a 135 minute stroll for them into the final.

    0 free kicks fro City.

The worst half of football Man Utd have played since Fergie went.

    Looks like they dont care

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

That was nothing but a training session for City. An eerie silence at Old Trafford for that half apart from the City fans.

Ole surely won't be at the wheel for much longer, but it's been a cracking ride all the same.

The gap in quality is massive. Look at the 2 midfields. Mctominay and pogba would make a huge difference

Ole truly is a top top spoofer. I actually don't think he is even good enough for a championship level team.

0 shots on target in 135 minutes of football. Thank goodness Solskjaer is bringing back the free-flowing, attacking football of old.

That’s why I said great is probably a little strong. Agree bags of potential. And agree, standards extremely low. That’s why we were all subjected to that shït show for 45 mins.

How the **** he is still in a job is beyond belief, there isn't a club in the top two divisions of any major league in Europe who would touch him IMO! Yet here he is, absolutely stealing a living! He wont walk, he needs the pay off because he'll never work again

Perreira was awful in that half alright

Surely you dont think Ole deserves more time.

    Clearly not up to.
Hopefully still in charge for the Liverpool game though

Of course he'll work again, and likely in the Premier league too. After being United manager you'll always get another ride on the merry-go-round.

Atmosphere is very strange, non existent unless you include jeering. City fans in their element of course. They should be further ahead.

One part of me wants to see Utd get a record derby home defeat- just for the lols but that might see the end of ole which non Utd fans dont really want to see.

Where do Utd go from here? Subs? They'll probably hope City bring on a few.

I really couldn't see him ever get another job in the PL as things stand. Why would anyone turn to him.

Jaysus what happened to De Gea? Looks a shadow of the player he once was.
