Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness, Rashdord is having some season, looked very sharp for his goal yesterday and is somehow justifying his ludicrous salary

Plenty wanted Jose to stay too, doesn't mean he didnt have to go when he did.

The longer Ole stays, the more damaging it is, only blind loyalty or complete foolishness would say otherwise.

    Aguero got 0 minutes.

17 goals in 29 games. A great return for a young player that doesnt get too many chances per game

With the direction Ole is sending the club the worry is he could look to move elsewhere unfortunately

He has played a lot more than Gomes who has been so badly managed it's looking like he could leave on a free in the summer

Is our game against West Ham on tv Wednesday? Or will they just be showing the procession in the league cup?

It's not on TV,m in the UK or Ireland, not that that will stop anyone seeing it.

Villa into the final against Manchester.

Fair play to Villa, Leicester made a mess of it in the first leg & they took full advantage.
Can't say it's a final I will watch as I expect City to come through tomorrow & the last time they played Villa they ate them without salt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

Yeah brilliant for Villa and a day out for the fans but ultimately they'll probably be battered and nobody will remember it.

Hopefully they can do a Wigan.

Neville not very strong with his condemnation on the attack on Ed’s house.

The whole it’s not right. However there is reasons Argument.

That goal for United was against the run of play. City could and should have had 2 or 3 scored prior. I didn't see the goal as I went to the jax, great timing.

    2 of them a mile off. That's poor .

Just now, had Sterling timed his run right, it would be 1-1. Chalked off for offside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,912 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Give Ole a new contract if he can over turn the first leg defeat and get to the final.

What a shocking miss by Sterling when he had the goal at his mercy.

    Nope. At 3-3 it's extra-time.

Did anyone see f-ing somebody out of it. Looked like he said if you do that again your getting hooked off. Then few minutes later Lingard comes off.

City continue to botch sitters. United are a farce and yet somehow they still lead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,174 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

United are down to 10. Matic sent off for a second yellow. Cynical and deserved.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

    Offside goal again.

    Was a lovely finish too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,174 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Farcical scoreline, another City goal ruled out for offside, Aguero this time. United are blessed, but it looks like it's all for nothing regardless.

Oles mark Robbins moment coming up? :)

How is Otamendi still at that club?

De Bruyne looked like he was asking much the same. It would be like Moreno still being a regular at Liverpool.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

City go through. I know they had no Ederson or Laporte but its as unconvincing as it gets.
If they play that bad against Real they better make the most of that League cup final.

Foden is so good it's scary. When the time is right and Pep starts to play him regularly he'll be in the English team straight away.

Foden is so good it's scary. When the time is right and Pep starts to play him regularly he'll be in the English team straight away.

If he was so good or had anything about him he'd be playing regularly as is. City are mile off in the league and he's managed 264 minutes. That's fairly pathetic.

Of the guys he came up through the ranks with in England he's probably played the least amount of league games. Does he not have any drive to succeed?

Max Aarons, Greenwood and Joe Wilock have played more. Brewster went on loan to get game time. I'm sure there's loads more.

Look at Sancho as an example. He was in the same youth team at City as Foden. He wasn't happy to sit in the reserves so he left to further his career and now he's miles ahead of Foden in his development.

I'd say Foden lacks either the confidence in his own ability or the drive to actually make a career for himself and is happy enough to sit on the bench and collect a wage.

Couple of things. This is Man City, back to back league champions, domestic treble winners, going to the Bernabeu and winning Man City. The players 19 year old Foden has to try to get ahead of are De Bruyne (best midfielder in the world probably) Ilkay Gundogan (German international midfielder) David Silva (club legend and, up until this season, one of the best midfielders around), Bernardo Silva (world class playmaker), Riyah Mahrez (one of the best wide players in the world). So comparing that to Greenwood, Aarons or Wilock is a bit misleading. Loaning him I think is the wrong move too, you want him as close to Guardiola and those players as possible.

Fair play to Sancho, different circumstances suit different people. Foden thinks his best career move is to stay with City, learn under Pep, and next season he will get his rewards with David Silva moving on, you can see Foden taking on that spot in the squad. Something I have seen others say, he looked stronger yesterday, faster, more athletic, that's the side of his game that needed work, it's something he's improving.

That last paragraph, wow, that seems so far wide of the mark.
