Credit Card Interest Free Balance Transfers

    I have a pretty high credit card balance. If I perform a balance transfer to avail of an introductory offer of 0% transfer for 12 months or so and make payment every month to bring the balance down. Can I then transfer to another card that's offering an interest free period? Do banks put in conditions that the interest is due if you perform a balance transfer away from them or any penalty?
