Erdogan's proposed meeting with Pence is apparently called off, as Erdogan says he'll only speak to Trump.

Knowing Trump, he'll agree to meet Erdogan only on the condition that it happens in private, no recording, and in Trump Towers Istanbul.

Pense and Trump have been doing a bit of an Organ Grinder - Monkey switch, its hard to tell who is actually calling the shots now. I thought Pense's presser on Monday evening hinted that the grown ups were taking over, but Erdogan is having none of that: He has his leverage and knows how to use it. And until impeachment says otherwise, he is perfectly right.

(Amusingly, my spellchecker tries to correct Erdogan to 'Underdog'... So much for machine learning.)

Well, he is the easier of the pair if Erdogan wants a good result from the negotiation.

Erdogan: "Have you done something with your hair, it looks great."

Trump: "Thank you, now carry on with your beautiful war."

Is he also playing for time (and flattering the unmatched genius)?

Trump: "Thank you, now carry on with your beautiful war."

This isn't far off how he is approached by those who want something from him. International leaders have personality profiles of other world leaders. They know that Trump just needs flattery and he'll be putty. We saw examples of this in the Ukraine call notes.

Again ducking the question of whether you accept those facts played in that video to be true, because to do so forces a grasp on reality, a proposition utterly fatal to his supporters' ability to still follow him.

    How about two other softballs?

Do you now accept Trump's interactions with Ukraine were quid pro quo?

    Or..

Did Sean Hannity not propagate a disgusting conspiracy theory surrounding Seth Rich?

Until you answer a straight question with a straight answer, you are metaphorically screaming into the void here. No one is listening. You're convincing no one. It's a thorough waste of your time.
I wouldn't wait too long, they've run off to their 'safe space' elsewhere on this site

I had a sneaking suspicion that that was what he would do, given the verbal threats by Don that he'd ruin Turkey. Erdogan, like other world leaders, has seen how Don negotiates with NK. Erdogan holds all the aces, incl the US & NATO bases in his country as collateral. For some reason, Lindsay said the Senate and Congress will hold Erdogan personally responsible for any killings around Kobani, which also houses one of the US air bases.

Turns out Cohen was telling the truth when he testified

    https://twitter.com/NatashaBertrand/status/1184456793109549057?s=20

Do you remember when the Reps attacked Cohen's character (and rightly so) but failed to tackle the accusations? Was it because they knew at the time Trump was dodgy as hell and if they did that, and it turned out the accusations were right, well - that would be awkward...

    What is trump looking at here;

Insurance fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud. We will know more when the cases are heard re his tax returns

Between 5 to 10 counts of obstruction of justice as per Mueller's report. (at least 5 clear cut)

Abuse of power arising from the July 25th call. (clear cut)

Multiple additional obstruction charges from his stonewalling of the impeachment proceedings. (clear cut)

Looking like a mighty big list for the Senate to give him a pass on, and that's before we get to the calls to Putin and MBS in that secret server...

So according to trump the Kurds and all that mess isn’t our(America’s) problem which is nice but then also said they have a lot of sand to play with. What relevance does that part of the world having sand(does it it is that gross generalisation?) have to do with anything ?

Didn’t take Trump long to have a go at Lindsey Graham

Also, Joe Biden has released 21 years worth of tax returns and challenges 45 to do the same

republicans and those leaning republican don't care, cheating taxes is a heroic act of defiance there. Don't think it makes too much odds anyway, theyve kept flying that kite but its not catching.

Are you so blinded by a desire to get one over on trump that youre willing to put forward fox news as credible to get there ?
