The only truth to be gleaned from the twin absurdities of Brexit and the Trump administration, is that the key wealthy players will walk into the sunset even wealthier men, as they leave their smouldering legacies behind them. Farage, Rees-Mogg and Trump will not die in poverty. The greatest con all three men pulled was convincing the disenfranchised and destitute that they were on the side of those people, and the political actions would enrich their lives.

The trouble is that it's become impossible to place the despicableness of these comments in order of despicableness compared to all the other despicable comments he has made. Well, to be fair the linked articles (from clickbait provider joe.ie??) Didn't come with any context so i presumed it was a duplicate of his xenophobic ignorance towards the Dem Congresswomen, thus we've already hit the "less than 24 hours between awfulness" period with this President.

The man's a thundering disgrace as a holder of public office. I say it every time, but it's no wonder those who soapbox on this thread stick to economic puffery, because Trump himself is a pox.

Not just skin colour: Omar is a Muslim who happily wears a (honestly, rather stylish) headdress, comfortable in her religion; to the ravenous maw that is the Islamiphobic wing of the Reps. - and let's be honest here, a large slice of the Dems too - she's probably second to AOC for irrational hatred; the Democrats practically lynched her when she publicly admonished the party for being in bed with foreign interests, a thinly veiled criticism toward the US cosying up to the Israeli gvt and. Screams of anti-Semitism followed from all sides and just fed the narrative of this Muslim black/Somali woman becoming "othered."

Honestly, at the rate this is going, an assassination attempt feels ... close. America has a grubby history of attacks on its leaders and if this racist, othering rhetoric continues, it's depressingly easy to imagine an attempt on someone's life.

There you were making a reasonably sensible contribution and then you couldn't help yourself and had to add "which she obviously is".

Ilhan is a Muslim and is very pro- Palestinian. That positions her as entirely against the manner in which US foreign policy favour Israel in its treatment of Palestine which she has unashamedly blamed on powerful Jewish lobbying efforts in Washington. So when she calls out that naked lobbying by the pro- Israel factions, she is blamed for using so- called anti-Semitic tropes and her fundamental arguments around the treatment of Palestine by the USA gets shouted down in the deflection and PR that the pro- Israel forces can command.

By contrast, the anti-Islamic rhetoric and policies that have been practiced since day 1 by Trump and his Administration has been horrendous and no-one seems to care about how that might affect her.

The bus story comes from a group he was associated with, further down the article.
However, the group believes, based on information provided to them, that Van Spronsen was targeting the detention center’s parking lot, which includes a fleet of buses that transports immigrants to the Yakima airport, where they are deported.

So, the group who wasn't there said what they believed his intent would be, and the police are saying what he actually did.

1 path was the path of stasis, no change.
2nd path was the path of American Patriotism.
3rd path was the path of anti-America embrace for all things non-American and dengiration of America itself.

They choose the 3rd path, they choose the path of denigration of America and all things American from the flag, the anthem thru to its economic foundations.

This was a genius political move by Trump, especially in a week when 'The Squad (Omar,AOC,PResseley, Tlaib' attacks Pelosi and then the DNC and Pelosi attack 'The Squad' and later TRump defends Pelosi on that issue.

TRump then goes on to drop a MOAB into their midst with his latest tweets .

TRump has united the Democratic Party on that 3rd path and forced them to unite behind Illhan Omar and AOC. Trump has put Ilhan and AOC at the vanguard of the Democratic Party.
There go many of the swing voters who whilst currently undecided would never vote for a Democratic Party being orchestrated by people who despise America.

TRump has just made 2 of the most radical and polarising Dems, the face of the Democratic Party.
Its a long term strategy like many Trump Administration strategies and will feed into a 2020 win for DT

Free country , you call burning of an empty bus to pick up illegal aliens heroism.

I call arresting 50 illegal aliens, some wanted for murder , responsible for a major heroin drug trafficking ring in Massachussettes and with enough Fentanyl to kill half the population of that state, I call that HEROISM.
