Help! My lawn is being smothered

Hey Guys I have a new lawn only 6 months old and its being smothered by an unidentified assailant. Can someone help me identify the plant attached? I think it is a type of bluegrass (Poa Trivialis) that may have been in the seed. Any ideas on the best way to control or manage it? Appreciate any help
