Bringing Back Colour To Kitchen Cabinet

    Hi,

I have some white staining on a door of a kitchen cabinet (see photo) and I was wondering how best to bring back the colour.

I'm not sure what the wood is and as far as I can ascertain it's solid and not veneer. However, the surface is very shiny (polish does not seem to be absorbed).

As far as I can remember, the white colour was due to a steam from a kettle over a long period.

    Any ideas?

Yes. its steam damage on the lacquered surface. For small jobs I find that 'Rustins fiinish Restorer ' does the job. Rub in with 0000 steel wool in the grain direction and dry off. If you are still not happy a can of aerosol lacquer will restore it but you might have to spray the whole door.

All the chain stores will stock it - try Woodies.
