Couldn't help notice Moycullen Road, Claddagh Road, Carna Road, Oranmore and Spiddle Road in Ballyfermot area. Does anyone know how this came about?

Allegedly the city engineer at the time was from Galway and he was responsible for the street names.
have you also noticed the public park there named the Califonia Hills?

I see. There's something odd about that. Maybe residents could be involved in naming the place they live in.

What happens when they die/move on?
What happens when some disagree with the names?
Baghdad Boulevard, Jason Statham Road would be lovely names.

Most council-built neighbourhoods are named on a theme.

Drimnagh is mountains, Crumlin is ecclesiastical locations. Coolock has the moon landings and small towns. Kilbarrack has thorny bushes.
