    You and Trump.
You know Churchill was a racist right? I won't tell, you keep your bust ;)
And a lot of people are alive and free because of Churchill.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

Even just this thread shows how easily racism and fascism is normalised. Needs to be fought at every step. Start off discussing statues and after a while arguments for the confederacy and how nazis weren't so bad start.

Most don’t hold our ancestors to the moral standards of today.

Others render judgment of anyone from the past by today’s moral standards. These people might as well start burning history books in their entirety.

Why are you so concerned with their traitorousness though?

And it’s primarily because they are racists that we oppose them today, if the southern states had other reasons to secede then they would not be so despised.

I’m not really concerned with it. I just find it bizarre that people defend the memorials as being somber monuments to fallen heroes.

This thread shows me how people view the world in black and white and have no regard for nuance. These people frighten me.

    I agree.

Amazing how a fascist group like Antifa can get supported when they want to beat people just because they have a different view. Even the smashing up of venues which those they are opposed to are about to speak is fascistic behavior and yes, it has been normalised on this thread given how it's been excused.

Very little condemnation from the left also on how black people are often called coons and worse just because of their political stances (or even in some cases, merely going about their jobs).

    Not really.

Trump is having rallies all accross America.
How come antifa arent showing up at them and "beating people up".
Antifa confront fascists and racists like American Guard the lot in the bus. They make itdifficult for them to increase their profile and recruit. They say that it's not normal to have fascists marching around the place.

    Good on them.

How far gone do you have to be to think "fine people don't go to neo nazi rallies" isn't a coherent argument?

Antifa went to many rallys but they didn't fare well so now they tend to just try and get a few stragglers here and there.

You can't honestly believe that. Surely you must realise that the actions of Antifa are acting like a recruitment drive for these groups. Proud Boys in particular seem to be on the rise and it's hardly surprising when you have footage of pups hitting people with flag poles, bike locks and throwing bricks.

Your argument is weak, incoherent and illogical.

It's quite sad that you would think it a good argument to merely say that anyone that marched in the protest could not be a good/fine person just because white supremacists were also in attendance. Again there were Charlottesville locals, civic nationalists, conservative groups, some alt-right etc etc.

Proud boys are shedding members faster than something shedding very quickly.

The statue wasn't a memory though.
It's the right doing the editing of history.
Texas board votes to eliminate Hillary Clinton, Helen Keller from history curriculum

The board also voted to keep in the curriculum a reference to the "heroism" of the defenders of the Alamo, which had been recommended for elimination, as well as Moses' influence on the writing of the nation's founding documents, multiple references to "Judeo-Christian" values and a requirement that students explain how the "Arab rejection of the State of Israel has led to ongoing conflict" in the Middle East.

Seemingly Moses was a big influence on the founding fathers

No my argument is none of the above. Your excuses for people marching at rallies/protests organized by actual neo nazis are beyond pathetic. It doesn't matter what the cause was. If you took part in that protest knowing who organized it and having seen what happened at the pathetic little tiki torch parade the night before (you know the one Pete, with the "jews will not replace us" and "blood and soil" chants) you're anything but a fine person.

Do you think people who go on marches organized by the political wing of the latest incarnation of the IRA are fine people?

Like I said: illogical nonsense. How in the hell can it 'not matter' what the cause was for heaven sake?
Do you think people who go on marches organized by the political wing of the latest incarnation of the IRA are fine people?

If it was a protest to take down the James Connolly statue (for example) and it was heralded as a 'Unite Nationalists' march, then of course decent people would attend. I'm not sure why you are still struggling with this. The protest was not just attended by Neo-Nazis and White Nationalists. End of story. I know you want so badly to be right, but you're not. Trump said there were fine people there, other than the Neo Nazis and White Supremacists, and he was right, there was.

    It's childish to be saying:
"Ahhh, everybody, look!! Trump said there was fine people marching in Charlottesville but there was only Nazis there and so he was calling Nazis fine people!!!"

It's been two years. Let it go already. Even if you all were right (you're not, clearly) it wouldn't matter anyway as the man has denounced white supremacy multiple bloody times.

Here he is the year before Charlottlesville and before he was even elected saying he doesn't even want their votes:

I think that's believed only cause Gavin quit and Tarrio was deplatformed but either way, Antifa will not get away with their activities to the degree they have in the past. What the did to Ngo was a game changer and that was why there has been more opposition of late wherever they go. If it's not the Proud Boys, then it be another group.

Hopefully though, it won't come to that and the Police will have their cards marked. Trump is intent on seeing that they don't get away with their crap any longer, one way or the other, and that seems to have had an affect with regards to the policing of them.

That's of course assuming they don't just wipe themselves out in the meantime.

The KKK aren't labeled a terrorist group, loads of violent white supremacists who have killed dozens aren't either.

Yet trump wants to make left wing protesters a terrorist group. Makes ya think which side he's on.

I'm sure the freedumb crowd would be against rounding up people just because of their political opinions.

Anyone claiming Dayton was antifa is believing too much Andy Ngo.
    "Ice bombing" with no bomb.

    Pure rubbish.
Your average motorbike gang has done far more than antifa make them all terrorists as well.

    Imagine a white supremacist rally.
Armed men with swastikas giving speeches about the master race and making America a white ethnostate. The locaks come along to protest. Paramilitary style police arrest the locals and charge them with terrorism.

Thata what trump, ted cruz and most of all the supremacists want.
