    Do an advanced search for the keyword "Grifter" on twitter, and I swear, it's as if every post was written by 20c.

    I guess words like this end up being bandied around echo chambers, and they all start using it.

    I don't honestly see the need to use such a word but I would use conman before grifter :P

    Sargon of Akkad has a video up about a report about Andy Ngo and the use of the word grifter is mentioned throughout.

    This comes mere hours after I raised the point that only the lunatics use the word and use it incorrectly at that. Damn plagiarist :)

    Anyway I'd recommend that sane people look it up as it raises some very salient points.

    As always though, some posters should ignore it in order to save the thread from having to listen to circular lies that you spout about "grifters"

    I think unfortunately due to the skewed media reportage many people have a degree of confirmation bias and will put anything certain people do/ say under a microscope to try and link anything to something racist. Much like those stories a while ago that the ok hand sign was racist and drinking milk in front of people was racist.
    Who knows maybe Trump is a bit racist deep down but I really don't see any of it in policies, he's an American nationalist alright but thats about it.

    Its actually like we've gone back in time when the church in this country would come out with these moral judgements on people and art (movies and books) and have demonstrations and get things censored, thats what you remind me of.
