Look at the photo just before the gunman is shot. A dozen surrounded the car, at least 50 were surrounding it at little further out.

He had his rifle in a ready position, he may only have been threatening the random driver but he left the driver no choice.

Just to highlight the double standards here, now imagine if a trump supporter at a Trump rally was armed with an AK-47 and fired 5 shots into car which was surrounded by Trump supporters. No matter what city it took place in, there would be murder. . .

No one can justify what happened and its a shame too, but the way people online are trying to rationalize his actions is mental. I don't understand why people want to carry guns at a peaceful protest. I know it's their rights blah blah blah but after seeing videos of the shooter he was just being tough or showing off. The same goes for conservatives or Trump fans that do this. The shooter certainly wasn't going to shoot at the police unless he wanted something to happen. Like its all unnecessary.

The gunshots all sounded like the same gun though. I assumed the driver was the only one who fired? I haven't heard any police/news actually say the rifle was discharged.

Rifle and then hand gun shots.

I can spot the difference from my limited gun experience, others can tell the round, barrell length etc from the sound.

When you shoot you recognize the difference, for those who shoot in America it must be more obvious.

I do. 8 shots fired, 5, then moments later 3. If you can find me a news or police report clarifying which guns were fired that would be great. Noise a rifle makes and a handgun makes are not that similar, here, the shots all sound the same.

This is the only report so far, of a dozen I've seen, that mention any other shooter besides the driver: a reporter confirmed with police there was a 2nd shooter but it was not Garret Foster.

On Sunday afternoon, KVUE Senior Reporter Tony Plohetski confirmed with police that two people opened fire during the shooting. Neither shooter was the man who was killed.

Officials believe one shooter was the driver of a car and the other was in the crowd and may have opened fire on the car as it drove away. The investigation remains fluid, but as of 2 p.m. Sunday, this is the account police have of what happened.

Investigators are trying to determine what charges the two shooters may face.

Police are going off the basis, then, that the driver fired 5 rounds and someone else in the crowd fired 3.

The rioters started damaging federal property which triggers a response by the feds, these feds are wearing badges that identify them and are arresting people they think are involved in the riots, seems very logical to me. Saw that earlier. The guy was grabbed from behind by someone trying to confront him. Not my first choice to have a knife over pepper spray but it likely would pass muster for self defense in court depending on the investigation into the alleged stalking behavior.


Nothing to see here, stabbing is now self defence, unless of course you're on the "wrong" side of the debate.
