Seems a bit mad to think of them as totally unthreatening and laughable and at exactly the same time as an extremely violent and dangerous group that it is a threat to the safety of every conservative voice.

Because even the biggest weaklings can be intimidating in large numbers. But if you watch any footage or clips from their rallies once a few get sparked the rest tend to scatter. The women actually tend to be far more brave.
    Very disorganized.
They should save their battle skills for world of Warcraft.

But how can they be intimidating if they are so easily spooked? That doesn't make any sense.

Soft c*nts though. Using mammy's ironing board as a shield.
They always seem to require crusty women to stand in front of them keeping them safe but every now and then they get too close to patriots and wind up being kicked up and down the street

"Patriots", another fan of the far right. They got their ass kicked by local residents in Washington DC recently, a city which is majority black. Those "patriots" want to remove civil rights from the blacks.

As you're a fan of the Christian right like the Proud Boys who thankfully have fallen from grace in this country, what is the traditional gender roles that women should fulfill in your view, be expelled from the workforce, have babies and raise them all their life full time just like in the Republic of Gilead?

Again, you just make up ****. I'm not a fan of the Christian right, nor of the proud boys.

Pointing out baseless lies that seem to spill effortlessly into your posts is not "sticking up for the proud boys" but rather pointing out that you are making **** up.

As I've pointed out, traditional gender roles such as women choosing to have babies and raising them while the man earns the money is not how I live my life with my wife. But I don't think it's a bad thing.

I've never once even hinted at the notion that women be expelled from the workforce. Again, this was all in your head.

I do think women should have babies. If they want. I'd rather see more children raised by their parents instead of crèches but I understand that due to financial constraints or even work ambitions that may not be possible. Women tend to be more naturally maternal (hence the name) plus they are the ones that have the babies so logic would suggest that it would be preferable for them to be the nurturing parent.

This, by the way, is not a suggestion that it become mandatory or even feasible but it would be great for the parents who are happy with this arrangement and also for the child.

There are many variables but yeah, traditional gender roles aren't a bad thing. If you want to do things differently, have at it. But promoting it shouldn't be an issue.

Instead of your hyperbolic Republic of Gilead nonsense, perhaps just concentrate on what has been said rather than inserting crazy strawmen in (or strawpersons if you don't like the traditional gender roles of straw people) for the sake of outrage.

There you have it. A Patriot is a far right individual now.
The men and women who fought in the war of independence and the 1916 rising were patriots.

Now look what we are left with. People like you who call those who would fight for their country "far right"

Quick, deflect from the American far right extremist groups to our own heroes of 1916! We have been discussing American far right extremism in this very long thread, nothing about the LEFT WING heroes of 1916 Ireland. Do you even live here in Ireland or are you yet another American on an Irish site?

The Irish LEFT WING patriots of 1916 wanted a socialist republic and you just p1ssed over their heroics.

It's what they wear. It's intimidating to some folk. Covered faces carrying crude weapons (that they can barely lift let alone swing) and dressed in black.

But once you get closer you realise some are playing Pokémon go, others have no interest in confrontation and only decided to go to try impress the size 18 with blue hair and for some it's the only social interaction they have and a reason to leave mom's house.

Stomping on and burning their countries flag yet living on benifits provided by that countries government. Sad

I find the one's that complain the most about Antifa are the one's most likely to get a few slaps off them.

    While understandable , I don't really give sh1t.

Newspaper vending machines seem to be the only thing they go one on one with.

Several fascist vending machines were attacked in Washington last Saturday.

Often they are up against working class men, an all together more daunting prospect and one they often get hopped from.

The thrill is the buzz of street fighting and the comradery of the mob, beats working in daddy's law firm.

They really could care less who they attack, they'll have an excuse ready.

Now you're moderating your stance to respecting a woman's choice to have kids or not or even if she wants to be sterilised, her body her choice to have bodily autonomy, that's a magical leap from your earlier stance.

Out of all your ramblings, do you not see the hypocrisy of your position espousing "traditionalism"? Neo capitalism has resulted in a financial stranglehold around families with high mortgages and extortionate childcare to name a few, that's the result of right wing policies.

Left wing policies in socialist countries like the Scandinavian ones have cheap childcare but you reject socialism hence you can just keep whingeing from the sidelines unless you open your eyes to the family destroying faults of right wing capitalism policies that destroy the family unit.

Haha, socialism as espoused by our 1916 heroes is still more or less the same nowadays, that crazy notion of equality for all without religious laws for a start. You reject the heroics and ideals of the LEFT WING Irish patriots, not surprising from either your blindness to see the truth of Irish PATRIOTS or you're not even familiar with Irish history in the first place.

One little Antifa Lord arrested recently, slip of a guy, worked a man over with a crowbar, you do not have to be big or brave when you have a crowbar in the hand.

Your intent is to kill when you are using a bar.

His parents are well to do so he'll be ok.

Ultimately that is ANTIFAs key strength, " do you know who my parents are" The same reason a Judge will go easy on Black rock boys than lads from Joeys.

The enemy have to be presented as both weak and strong simultaneously. Physically weak compared to their superior opponents but strong as in having powerful connections in politics and culture.

Sounds similar to early nazi propaganda.

Hang on... When did I say that? I said if you don't want to have kids, don't. I never said mentioned sterilisation and I was referring to a gender stereotypes.

I'm not moderating my stance whatsoever.

In this thread I said that traditional gender roles of a woman being a housewife and a mother is not a terrible thing to be promoted.

If a woman should prefer to prioritise her career over being a mother, then that's fine too.

Abortion has nothing to do with it and I stand by my opinion and disagree that a abortion is as simple as "her body, her choice" and there are is a lot of nuance (that's a different thread though).

The video of that incident went viral innocent old man attacked randomly by antifa. Of course later video emerged showing him running at people attacking them with a weapon. This didn't help the narrative so didn't get as much attention.

I don't know, nor really care who got worked over, the point being a crowbar is a crowbar and helps one assert control over others.

Not in every case. Again, this is why it is nuanced. Would you find it acceptable for a woman to abort her child one week before due date?

They difference between militant fascists and Antifa, is just of background.

An Antifa member is the same type of person as a neo Nazi, just coming from a leafier neighbourhood.

It is the thrill of the mob, beating someone, anyone, that excites.

Nope, that's right wing sensationalism there. You fundamentally disagree with left wing Irish patriots of 1916 who wanted a socialist republic, a fairer society for all just like in Scandinavian countries.
I find it as acceptable for a man who wants a vasectomy. No issue.

    Progress!

If it endangers the life of the woman (though C section is available), the medical people involved would weigh up the risks to help the woman make a decision instead of being forced to travel to the UK, the good news is that the religious folk won't be involved due to the removal of the 8th amendment by popular mandate. Is nuanced your favourite word in the dictionary?
Name them and I will tell you.

You live in a right wing capitalist society where couples are struggling to afford to have kids due to the capitalist policy of unaffordable accommodation(both rental and buying) and extremely high childcare cost which destroys the family unit. This doesn't happen in European socialist countries like the Scandinavian ones.

Nothing fair about the majority doing all of the work while the rest have the hand out expecting everything for nothing.

If it was a relationship it would be over after a few months.

If you don't contribute anything you don't get anything. That's fair.

Exceptions made for those who cannot contribute. Ie disabled etc.
Want a house of your own or somewhere to rent?
Get a job and earn your way like the rest.

When it comes to abortion, yes, nuanced is one of the most appropriate and a favourite word of mine to use.

I don't know why you are bringing up religion. You didn't answer my question. Would you support a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy for any reason up until a week, or a day, before her due date?

In a way, I agree. It is very hard for couples to buy a house and have a family. We also have a very generous social welfare scheme which actually makes it financially beneficial to pop out children as a single parent.

There certainly are changes I would like to see made with regards to housing prices when it comes to vulture funds. I don't see how childcare should be legislated for. I don't think socialism is the way forward.
