Yeah, that would be an apt reply if that's all that I was saying, but it's not.

It’s an absolute shame. They weren’t too concerned when Obama was building the cages, and deporting millions. He wasn’t called deporter in chief for nothing.

They were actually. There are reports from back there about it too. The reason there weren't as many is because it wasn't on the same scale or for the same reason. Under Obama, the facilities were used as temporary holding for unaccompanied minors.

But they did it too is not an argument. Also one can criticise trump without having to justify everything Obama did. Trump is a grown man and can make his own decisions. He has decided to have people living in unsanitary conditions and separate children from their parents.

This is bull crap and you both know it. Did you even watch the video I posted above?

Obama built the cages. Obama. Deported illegal immigrants at record numbers.

The trump came to power. He wanted to increase ICE’s budget but the democrats refused. Saying there’s no crisis (I’d post a video as evidence but it would probably get deleted as a “dump”)
During today’s hearing, Rep. Gaetz played the audio from a January 9, 2019, CNN interview with Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC-06). In the interview, Mr. Clyburn was asked: “Is there a humanitarian crisis on the southern border?” Mr. Clyburn responded with a dismissive chuckle, and stated “absolutely not.”

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump and the Department of Homeland Security both insisted that a humanitarian crisis on the southern border existed, and that resources were needed to address it. Republicans in Congress, including Rep. Gaetz, were eager to pass legislation to address the crisis. Unfortunately, Democrats denied that a crisis even existed.

At least you acknowledge the treatment of immigrants at the border is a crisis. Sure is shameful, keeping people with no soap or toothpaste or blankets. Kids seperated from parents.
Trump wants money for more ice raids and deportations not to make life better for those incarcerated. That's what the democratic party are blocking. Also the stupid wall.
Trumps lawyers arguing with a judge that basic hygiene facilities are not needed is disgusting. Even the judges are horrified by it. There is more than enough money to provide humane conditions it's just they choose not to.

Again you miss the issue. It doesn't matter who built the cages. It matters what they are used for. It doesn't matter who deported more people, it matters how the deportations were committed and how the people were treated during their time in the care of the state. The Dems didn't aprove the funding because A, they believed any crisis was of Trump's own making and B, he wouldn't put the funds where they were supposed to go. Two very reasonable concerns. He has, after all, told about 10,000 lies since getting into office.

Those are the fa to antifa. And some say Antifa are worse than all these terrorists who have been killing people recently. What does it say about these people?

Yep! Obama was bad, Trump is the worst. Whataboutism can end there.

The centers currently are concentration camps. People who have long lived in the US are dragged from work, home, wherever. Reports of rape, sexual harrassment and deaths. This is quite different from Obama era.

It's obvious that the alt right troll army here doesn't care about that all, so Ill ignore your "lol" oneliners, y'all could do with some empathy and literacy training.

Regarding your link... did this happen in CANADA?

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

Immigrant Detention Conditions Were Atrocious Under Obama. Here’s Why They’re So Much Worse Under Trump.

The alt right trolls will just say "lol slate.com" and continue sharing FOX News clips, but if anyone else wants to know what has changed with the detention/concentration centers in Trump times, here's an intro

And a reminder that we don't need y'all to invoke Godwins law here

They can leave and return home whenever they feel like it. Thus they are not Concentration camps.

    What else could be done?

The DHS has been asking for funds for the crisis at the border, only to be told what crisis?

For months we were watching on the news about a caravan arriving from central America only for the likes of Don Lemon on CNN and other MSM to say it's just a manufactured crisis from Trump looking for money to build his wall.

The caravan hits and boom. There suddenly is a crisis and the blame is put on those who were asking for extra funding to stop this from happening.

How should the US deal with these illegal immigrants?

What's the "better way" of dealing with these criminals?

Idk what else can be done, dont know or care enough about immigration into america, here to chat sh1te mainly(in reality imo it need the oz type enticements for immigrants to move to rural areas)...

but the fact that they have to resort to concentration camps is a disgraceful indictment on american policy and no country should be allowed trample civil.liberties the way,

They are a joke theyve left it come.to this and shows complete lack.of leadership.and accountability, that no body is stepping up with a plan to sort it.....they went to war in middle east to bring democracy, what country aspires to be like america or have there style of democracy now?

Everything is, Nazis, racists, bigots, whites supremacist, white privilege. That’s the democrats playbook now, since they lost power.
