Hi all, we are planning our sisters hen party in Clare for September 28th for around 15 people mostly early 30s. We are considering Lisdoonvarna / Ennis / Lahinch / Doolin but are not too familiar with the towns so would like some suggestions on which location may be best. We are looking for somewhere that will be fairly lively that time of year with a nice hotel / restaurant, and somewhere with trad music and late night bars rather than night clubs - any ideas which of these locations may be best suited?

Ennis is good .. lots of nice hotels in the centre and lots of pubs as well ..check out Nora Culligians and knoxs they do hen party packages ..the night club is just across the road too . Hotel over it so rooms might be cheap . Queens is the name of the hotel . Brogans is fab for food as well . And there is a farm in Corofin that do hen party packages as well if you fancy doing something different on the Saturday .

Ennis also has loads of trad sessions on Saturday evenings in different pubs and has a few late bars as well

Thanks for the replies :) We also read that theres a matchmaking festival on in Lisdoonvarna that weekend - would there be a buzz around Lisdoonvarna with the festival, or would Ennis still be a better option?

The place is buzzin in September, it'll be a bit quieter that weekend as it'll be the last weekend but there will be plenty music and people around, friday nights are the best and head for doolin/aran islands/cliffs of moher on the Saturday

There is a matchmaking festival. But I'd still choose Ennis or Lahinch over it.
