So 92,153 Tory party members, including many people who joined just for this vote, have voted for Boris Johnson to be the next British prime minister. So he will.

That number equals to what percentage of the adult population of the UK voting for him?

Yes, where were we about the evil EU and its lack of democratic accountability...

Total electorate in UK is 45,775,800 so the current PM was elected by 0.2013% of the eligible population.

Who elected Leo in Ireland ? They did not even put him before the FG membership !

The Tories , at least had two candidates , unlike Merkel's apparatchik in the Eu .

Why would the English stop Scotland or Northern Ireland from democratically leaving the Uk . Northern Ireland particularly is costing them a fortune hence bowel evacuation from Leo if there was a border poll .

The SNP offered the Scots the Euro in the Independence Referendum and the Scots were horrified .

They can't let NI go because they don't want to let Scotland go, while NI is costing them a fortune, Scotland isn't and they want the natural resources that Scotland has in spades. So they won't let Scotland leave and they can't let one go and not the other so they won't give NI the chance to vote either.

They gave Scotland a Vote , Very recently in Fact . According to the SNP , a once in a Generation Vote;)

Again, it was a confirmation vote which could have been declined by the Parliament, and another candidate would need to be presented.

Leo vs Boris is like comparing apples and oranges. Leo's election to head of the party wasn't in the shadow of a looming deadline which would bring the country out of the EU.

Indeed they did, and told them they wouldn't gain access to the EU as an independent country and the only way to stay in the EU was as part of the UK. Knowing full well that Scotland supports the EU. Then they pulled the rug from under them by deciding to leave the EU.

So , No Need for Democracy for Leo:eek::eek:How Eu of him .

I suppose Merkel would have pulled another apparatchik out of her a$$ and continued until the Priests of the Eu Parliament followed orders .

Sounds like 'Dave the Cameraman' got about 500 votes :)

Whatever we think about Boris, he's bound to be better than May. I was sympathetic to her at the start but really got fed up as things went on. She stood for nothing.. no clear leadership, neither Remain nor Leave. When Britain needed someone to take them one way or another, she just vacillated.

At least with Boris, we may expect a bit of decisiveness, even if we don't care for his direction.

We don't select a taoiseach we select a party, same as in the UK, the point behind noting the percentage is to show the size of the population giving Boris the mandate to leave without a deal.

Your cynicism surrounding the EU makes any kind of conversation like arguing with a 3 year old.

What would you suggest is the alternative, dude? Make party leadership contests open to everyone to vote on?

The SNP offered the Euro to the Scottish People in the Independence Referendum . The Scots told them to shove it where the sun don’t shine .

The Scots are showing no appetite for another Independence Referendum . Too soon for another “ Once in a Generation “ referendum .

There ain’t no great clamour in Northern Ireland for a border Poll . At least that keeps Leo’s bowels from evacuating .

Good job rewriting the facts there!
As for your "too soon" comment, what about all your democracy bluster?

The only thing that surrendering to the Eu gets a British Prime Minister is the boot out the door . Surely Boris and Company have worked this out .

There is not the demand for another Independence Referendum in Scotland . If there is , then there should be one . The demand is not there as there is not the Demand for a Border Poll in Northern Ireland .

How does one surrender to the EU?
How will Boris manage to boot the EU out the door?
Once this booting takes effect, will Boris be looking for a trade deal with the EU and how will that compare against the current free trade deal the UK currently has?
As for Boris and company having things worked out, the evidence shows that the UK don't know what they want from a Brexit which is why they have not left.

Your post clearly shows that you're here simply to troll.

I explained to you that three British Prime Ministers have lost their jobs by surrendering to the Eu .

No British Prime Minister can surrender to the Eu and keep their job .

No British Prime Minister will survive in office if they surrender to the Eu .

Cameron , May and Major all out of office after surrendering to the Eu .

You will not be the British Prime Minister if you surrender to the Eu ; Advice , Do not surrender to the Eu .

so every PM since 1973 lost their job because of the EU?

Tong Blair lost his because he Committed Treason against his Country and is a War Criminal . Gordon Brown lost his because he was fooking useless .

Thatcher because she was gone cuckoo , poll tax and throw in some Eu .

James Callaghan = fooking useless .

By that criteria then the Vote to leave the Eu must be respected . That is a very recent referendum .

    :

Not as recent as the general election.

Democracy , blinding. Remember ? Calling multiple general elections is undemocratic by your reasoning yet you keep saying that's what should happen.

It's a wonder you're not inside out you do that much twisting.

Though I expect another line kind if vaguely related to what I said followed by a few more of absolute unrelated horse****, just like the rest of them.

Thatcher was one of the architects of the Single Market and last time I looked she was revered in the UK by the same people fervently wanting to tell the EU to fook off.
Blinding not making a blind bit of sense.
