I meant to reply to your original post.

    I don’t see the value in a 5.0m Fab.

Just pick a 4.5m like Pope and stick for the season.

You can leave the 0.5m in the bank or use it now for a slight upgrade.

    Thats probably fair

    So then I'm down to

    Barkley & Wilson
    OR
    Fraser & Wesley

That looks like a no brainer but it'll mean Barkley on the bench GW1, which I can live with, I'd much prefer to have Wilson over Fraser

My latest, possibly last change - TAA/Coleman OUT - VVD/Digne IN. Tough one, but Digne should hopefully match TAA for attacking potential, and I can still get the clean sheets from VVD and his bonus pts. Plus he is also a threat on set pieces. I think it's the safest option.

I do not agree with that, there’s a good chance Coleman could match Digne, there’s no chance VVD will match TAA

Coming from a man that has all four

Kane and KWP vs Robertson and Vardy is my latest headache.

I like to have a half decent bench for the weeks where the fixture list isnt too good. Do you tend to have your strongest 11, with 4.0m players on the bench?

It's good to have a couple of players on the bench who are likely to get appearance points for you if required, but having a 7.5m forward on the bench is a huge waste of resources to start with. You can change Haller to Wesley, and use 1.5m to dump poor options like Ake and Doucoure.

    Robertson and Vardy.

    Here’s draft 8 million

    Pope Heaton
    Zinchenko AWB Montoya Ludstrum Kelly
    Salah Sterling Ricky Perez Dendonker
    Kane King Greenwood

I’ve 2.0 itb currently. Any thoughts lads?

    Very similar to my team.
I'd look at investing that 2.0m in defence. Could upgrade Montoya to Van Dijk

What I meant is, if TAA fails to get attacking pts, at least VVD should get some BPS should they keep a CS. Coleman's main threat is getting into the box to score, whereas VVD is in the box more often for set pieces. Could argue they are on par for goals this season, but maybe Coleman gets more assists.

To be honest, so many arguments can be made for all 4 players, it's so difficult to pick the right ones. At this moment I feel safe in that VVD and Digne are both nailed on, with VVD a bps magnet and Digne on set pieces. I'll also have Robertson too.

If I was upgrading I’d go Zinchenko to Robbo I think and keep the budget lads. Only a matter of time before Mendy ousts Zinc I think

Kean will be in this position though.

Punting on Kean personally, think Siggy will be a major part of any goals he scores.

I am using Haller as 1st sub just for GW1 vs Man City. He will usually be a starter probably ahead of Martin Kelly.

My bench would then be Button 4.0m, Kelly 4.0m, Romeo 4.5m, Diop 4.5m

Ake is good value I think and he has 6 easy fixtures in the first 9 games

    Heaton / Button
    AWB Robertson Zinchenko Digne Lundsrum
    Salah Sterling Perez Dendoncker Barkley

Its changed a few times but I'm slowly getting comfortable with it

I’ve .5 itb after the changes and probably like the look of this team more

    latest attempt

    Keepers: Alisson

    Defenders: Ake, Van Dijk, Digne,

Midfield: Fraser, Milivojevic, Maddison, Bernardo Silva,

    Forwards: Wilson, Kane, Jimenez

    Subs:
    Midfield - Perez
    Defender - Coleman, Kelly
    Keeper - Ryan

Notes: Ryan & Kelly selected as cheapest players in their area who are predicted to start this weekend and are both on bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,250 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

    GK Ryan
Defs - Robertson, VVD, Ake, Laporte, Coleman
Mid - Salah, Felipe Anderson, Milivojeic
    For - Vardy, King

Bench - Heaton, Romeu, Fraser, Deeney

Going for pen takers with VAR opening few weeks might seen increase in pens for hand ball and such

Good plan/bad plan - downgrading Fraiser to Perez in midfield to free up 1m?

Depends on what you are using the 1m for.
I plan to keep 1.5 m in the bank to sell Fraser and Wilson before gw3 to give me options.

I have both Fraser and Perez currently if you already have a Bournemouth player maybe getting Perez might spread your risk a bit,

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

You have 12 outfield players who could start each week, so you will have way too much money on your bench.

Also, going without at least one of Salah or Sterling is asking for trouble tbh. I’d downgrade a Leicester mid to Dendoncker and Coleman to a 4.5 to free up cash. You can also save 0.5 by changing Ryan to Button. Ryan will never be used if you have Alisson.

    Any thoughts/suggestion on the following?

    Ryan
    Robertson - VVD - Digne
    Salah - Sterling - KDB - Perez - Barkely
    Wood - Ings

    Button - Dunk - Greenwood - Lundstrum

    Could play a 451 and change Wood/Ings to Wilson/4.5?

Thinking about either upgrading Zinchenko to Laporte, or Kane/Auba to Aguero

I would go for Perez in that case.
Would chance Zinchenko and either save your 1m or go Aguero.

Not many seem to be picking Aguero/Aubameyang at all and if any of them start flying you are laughing.

Jiminez has a knock AFAIK, hes making whatever trip they are doing for the UEFA cup but he could be rested depending on what they prioritise
