Did that die picture look like two pieces of silicon connected by infinity fabric?

    Never mind.

Based on that bar chart - yeah!

AMD is actually leveraging a handy hardware advantage for a team red build here?

There we go, DirectX Ray Tracing. Was thinking this would be the case, it'll be hard for Nvidia to push a proprietary RT solutions if both PC and Xbox have access to DX RT.

optimum gaming experience "at 4K and below resolutions" - 6800XT

    "Just" 300 Watts

If these are the benches and that's the power draw, they better come out with a massive pricing/availability gut punch.

    RAGE Mode. F'n LOVE IT.

Ps5 using the same hardware too so looks like developers will be making games to suit AMD from now on due to the fact that it's the same architecture for both consoles and and pc.

Similar performance to the 3080. Obviously, real world benchmarks might differ there but positive none the less.

Wow, so those benches they showed head to head with Nvidia were before Rage mode was enabled. AMD comes out clearly ahead in some game titles with it on according to their test.

It competes with the 3080, its going to be similarly priced. As it should be.

They are still the underdog, they'll have to pitch lower for this gen at least

Radeon Anti-Lag and Radeon Boost with Freesync to compete with all of Nvidias frankly effective marketing/hype about its similar onboard features.

"De-noising" for RT effects, and other post processing effects for RT - AMD is joining ray tracing by running out the gate.

There's going to be a 6800XTX/6900 announcement at the end when it seems like it's winding down. They do it every launch b

    50 dollars cheaper than 3080

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,947 ✭✭✭circadian

    650 quid, not bad.

$649 vs $699 for the 3080. Not the difference I think most people expected.

Ooooh they slipped that non XT model in out of nowhere for $579

**** me, I'm getting the 6800 so, if that pans out in 3rd party trials

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 35,076 Mod ✭✭✭✭AlmightyCushion

6800 seems to be a bit of a step up over the 3070 going by those FPS.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭Homelander

6800 $579. Think that's where I will hang my hat most likely.

Yep the 2080 Ti is effectively == 3080, and if that beats 2080 Ti, it's GG. And under 300 watts.

Sold. Radeon 6800. Build Mode Activate.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,947 ✭✭✭circadian

If this thing is $799 then they're gonna kill it.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 35,076 Mod ✭✭✭✭AlmightyCushion

    Beats the 3090. Dayum!

    They're going for it

    $999!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,648 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

6800 sounds like a good bet. I think the 6800XT pricing is too close to the 3080 for them to be honest.

The 6900XT is a great price for someone looking at between the 3080 and 3090 at 999

  • Registered Users Posts: 663 ✭✭✭MidlanderMan

Lol. Nvidia are going to be ****ting bricks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,947 ✭✭✭circadian

    That's steep!
